Never seen one rusted like that.

Bird droppings are highly acidic... owner also had a pigeon coop, maybe? :D

They accidentally added an extra 0 to the price, though. Typographical errors are funny.

That is a classic no matter what. Check out the chrome and that high dollar grill. Big money in those grills these days.

It's sold anyhow. Too bad they didn't post the sale price. I'm sure it was well under $1,000; the grille was the only worthwhile part on the car.

Wow. Maybe a severe case of acne?
I'd think that almost has to be volcano damage. Maybe sprayed with falling magma spray and then the salt air got to the bare steel(?)
Est value-$4000. $400 for the car and $3,600 shipping to the San Pedro (Los Angeles) harbor port. Yeah, that's it!

It's not rust, it's "patina". Yeah, that's the ticket! There, now it's worth $4,000.....NOT.

Seriously though, it'd be interesting to know what really did cause all that damage.

In Hawaii, the rust was caused by salt spray. The paint being damaged that allowed the rust to start could have been from volcanic ash (as somebody else posted) or hail (do they even get hail in Hawaii?).
