My Mopar club had their annual car show last Saturday (June 10), which I entered into (my second car show to date).
My first car show is on this thread https://www.forfmjbodiesonly.com/classicmopar/threads/first-time-entering-into-a-car-show.5250/#post-59410
Only one other FMJ at this show was a nice looking “stock” steel blue ’81 Imperial.
Two other cars were in our class: a Pro-Mod Gremlin and a 2015 Alfa Romero.
The Gremlin had no interior or dash, a roll cage, tubbed, slicks, a molded seat and steel tubing frame. Painted entirely in orange.
The Alfa Romero also had a lot of modifications to it (supercharger, etc.).
The class of four cars, two were as stock as it gets (40 and 36 years old), a completely redone Pro-Mod (I might be using wrong term) and a two year old modified car – wasn’t really a fair class. They gave out 1st and 2nd place trophies (only 2) to the “non-stock” vehicles.
I took plenty of pictures but screwed up and deleted all of the pictures instead of coping them (hand meats forehead moment) and wasn’t able to recover the ones I wanted.
Also present were four Superbirds, two Hellcats, two Max Wedges and eight 426 Hemi cars.
Saturday, the only thing I came home with . . . was a sunburn.
Now with that said, the night before the car show (June 9), I did come home with a trophy from Dyno night!
My stock and original 318 2-bbl (I believe to be) rated at 145 horsepower.
42K miles. 87 octane fuel. No clue what ignition timing is set at (I’ve never checked it).
Actual results are 135.17 HP at 3,990 RPM
Torque 211.01 at 2,960 RPM
The first time I’ve been anywhere close to a chassis dyno, before.
For those unable to read the label, it says:
