Back in the 80's when these cars were new, you could buy Mopar splash guards from the Chrysler dealer parts counter that had "Chrysler" or "Cordoba" etc emblazoned on them. I really liked that look and a lot of the cars left the lot that way.

My 89 Fifth Avenue had a vintage, although beat up, set of these splash guards on it when I bought it. Over the years the golden "Chrysler" script was all but gone, so I decided to freshen them up to look like new again.

I went to a local shop that makes car decals and T-shirts and I had them make new Chrysler decals in gold. I removed the flaps, thoroughly cleaned them, hit them with a light coat of Krylon plastic paint, applied the decals and put them back.

Looks like 1989 again!

Mine has no splash guard, but I was wondering about that when I was looking at fifth avenue porn on google images.
