Been a while since I last asked for help from our members. Everything goes smoothly restoring the old Girl to her former glory.
I have got hold of most spares I need, even the paint made and mixed locally.
Having said that I still cannot get an answer from a company regarding the left side, rear wheel chrome (aluminium) list I am missing. Beats me why they
could spend a few minutes and give me a price with all cost, post and package. Where there is a will there is a way is a good expression. They do sell parts
on EBay but no way they could at least drop me a line and say either NO thanks or YES we can sort that out.
Now to another and more interesting things from Grumpy Old me:
All G22 had stickers of various forms informing the owner about: The wacum lines under the engine hood (Mine is in perfect nick so I do not need that)
In the rear luggage compartment there is a sticker showing how to use the jack in case you have got a flat tyre or want to swap for winter tyres. It is an
instruction of how to do the job and do it safely. Mine is not in good shape and hard to read as time takes its toll. On the front of the car (forward of radiator)
there is a small sticker I cannot read but probably some of you would know? And another regarding cooling. That one is gone completerly
On the air filter there is antother large one as per attached photo. 360 Express and a black one Direct connection. This can be reprouced locally over here
I presume; in fact all I believe. Having said that it would be easier if one of our members may have them for sale.
Another one is on the wacum box as per attached photo.
Any photo will do and the measurement of the stickers (L x W x H) please.
Take care all of you, safe driving and have a wonderful summer. Over here it is nice outside and perfect for som spanner work. I had a stint with our son at
our own workshop dismantling the rear wheel on my 1958 Norton 99 motorcycle. The bearings were totally shot! Been there since 1958 and the bike has been
used a LOT! I have been all over UK, Scandinavia and Germany with her and probably clocked up 350 000 - 450 000 km on her. No problems to speak of.
All good wishes to you.
Gunnar
