In Pittsburgh, PA around 1979 or 1980, the man who lived across the street from me had either an Aspen or a Volare coupe that commerated the Steelers' 3rd or 4th Super Bowl victory. The car was black with gold pinstripes and had an emblem of a grouping of Super Bowl trophies in the lower fender (passenger side only, i think) in the area near where Chrysler put the pentestar. Does anyone in the Pittsburgh area remember this? I was a kid then, so i have no clue which dealership had done it, or how many had this done, or if could be had on sedans or wagons. I only remember seeing this one and my friend's and I called it "the Super Bowl car". Now that the football season is in the playoffs, i thought this would be a good time to bring this up.

I spend most of my time on B Bodies I have 2 63 and 1 65 Plymouth Belvedere's.
Just was trollin" around and spotted your post. I bought a 76 Aspen new and later in life had a 80 Volare' wagon.
Always like the F bodies. In the process of selling my "B" cars and thinking of a F lately. 80 is my favorite year.

That's funny...i was about to post this topic on the b-body forum simply because there's more traffic there. I have a mix of everything. Currently working on a 72 Charger SE, so i've been on the b forum a lot. I'm a big fan of the F & M cars though....except for the govt mandated bumpers...too bulky.

Looked for the magazine and couldn’t find it. It’s probably in the bins out in the shed. I’ll find it for you.

During a garage clean last year, I had magazines everywhere, so i packed them in totes and moved them to the shed. I know I saved it, just have to find it. It was a black + white small article.

VERIFIED!! So my memory was correct!
He passed away some time in the late 80s i think. Don't recall him having children. I would love to see that at least one of these cars still exists.
