I may have omitted the part that'll really twist the knife,,,,,,,,,,,,the 25-40+ mph winds that are going to accompany it all. Man I can't wait, NOT!

They're saying to be sure everything is either brought indoors or secured somehow or it may vanish into thin air, literally.

They upped it to 8"-12" by tomorrow noon. Son of a.......................................

Unfortunately they decided to share with those of us to the east.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised. One year we got almost a foot of snow in one day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in the middle of May.

It finally stopped around 10am. Grand total of a foot on top of an icy crust and some huge drifts. It's such a fine wet snow it's about impossible to snowblow. The auger keeps plugging up with snow and all you do is push a big mound in front. Got the driveway done just enough to get out and then said "f*** it". Think I got up to 25 mph on the way to work. It really, really sucks..............

Sorry Captain, that is that nasty ice that takes forever to scrape; and while you are scraping you feel like you might just break the window.

Exactly! Which is why I just warmed it up till I could actually get it to come off. It totally felt like I was going to break the glass.

Yeah, yeah, yeah Eric. Rub it in why don't you? lol
Guess the official total for where I live was 14" and that seems about right. Ten miles south where I work, there was "only" 10 inches.
Only got to the high 30's but it cleared up and the sun came out bright as can be so this evening all the roads were clear and most were bone dry already.
I really, really hope this is the last of that white crap for the season.

Thanks to mighty Thor, we missed the real nasty stuff and only got rain.
There was a little ice on the windshield in the morning, but the wipers handled it.

Tomorrow is going to be horrible, so 'they' say.
Everything is going to be shut down and they're going to pull the buses at 11pm.

When you always say they "pull the buses" do you mean the metro transit buses? Just curious is all.

Not too warm today (mid 30's only) BUT, the sun is bright in the mostly clear sky and there is no wind so it feels fairly decent if you're not in the shade. Most importantly, the above freezing temps and the sun being higher in the sky this time of year, the snow is melting at a good clip.

More ice storm action here last night. The power blipped a few times but we dodged that bullet. Not so for people just down the road. Just chilly and windy now. Tomorrow is supposed to hit mid 40's.

Fancy,,,,,,,,,,,,bendy busses! lol The Metro Ride buses here don't serve Rib Mountain so I don't see them too often but, the times I do when I'm in a area with service, seems to me they may as well just pull them period. Big busses driving around and you can see maybe 2 or 3 passengers. Maybe up in the city there's more passengers but the ones that have routes to the suburbs appear to be empty, or almost empty, most of the time.

Got kind of hazy sunshine today and supposed to hit 48. Melt, melt, melt!

Intriguing, a bendable bus. We stick with straight buses around here. I nearly got plastered by one that ran a red light yesterday. It was a good thing I held off on that left turn.

I saw that too. It'll be warm-ish a few days and then April comes and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,in the crapper. Supposed to get warmer each day until it's 56 on Thursday and then back down fast. Saturday shows a high of 41. I'm right about in between the two N's in Minneapolis. Stupid polar vortex's.
