throttle cables

Anyone using Lokar throttle cable brackets? i am getting ready to swap s/6 to 318 magnum , just want to make it easier on throttle/kickdown setup. i have lokar kickdown cable and was thinking of using lokar srk-4000 bracket
 
There are two different /6 throttle cables.
The 225 1-bbl and the 225 2-bbl versions.

I can’t recall which one is longer. One version is just too long to work. The other version is longer than it needs to be, but will still work fine in either a 318 2-bbl or 318 4-bbl applications.

I was thinking that – but couldn’t recall.
The /6 2-bbl cable is just way too long to work.
The /6 1-bbl cable has worked for others in the past for a V8. It is a bit too long but enough that it works fine.

If you already have the replacement cable, I guess it doesn’t matter at this point.

If your old cable moves freely inside of its sleeve and not frayed, it might be something that someone else might give you $5 for . . . maybe.

Lokar throttle and kick-down on my 360/727/A body. Love em.

I have a good used V8 F body throttle cable. $15 plus shipping.

The 4-bbl FMJ throttle cables are about 1 inch longer than the 2-bbl version – so there are four different length (FMJ) cables:
/6 1-bbl
/6 2-bbl (the longest)
318/360 2-bbl (the shortest)
318/360 4-bbl

The 4-bbl throttle brackets (the part that bolts to intake) are bent differently from factory – but the 2-bbl version can be used as-is or bent slightly to work fine (which is what most people do).

Thanks everyone for great information, i have eldelbrock rpm magnum intake . Car has /6 1 barrel so i will have to get cable . The lokar looks like a pretty good setup to work with . Deconstructors pic looks great .
