I come across a lot of NOS Tomco brand choke thermostats and I figured I'd post the part numbers and interchange in case anyone needs it

My NOS made in USA Tomco 9081 choke thermostat installed. Yes, this engine is dirty. Yes, I'm still running the lean burn system.

The NOS kit comes with three different length rods and a butt connector with a heat shrink wrap to splice the end connector on.

These choke thermostats are all over the internet. They must have made way too damn many back in the day. 20230403_162946.jpg

Having multiple rods explains how they list one of their parts cross referencing so many fectory ones.
The last time I had to replace one you could still get it from a dealer.

Well the one that was in there looked factory or at least like it had been in there a long time20230403_163301.jpg
Definitely a neglected little car. I've had to do so many trivial repairs. All of them super basic. The last two owners were using starter fluid on this poor thing. I found multiple cans in the trunk. It doesn't even need it. I wonder if they saw that on YouTube or something and thought that's how you cold start a car with a carburetor.
