I had it aligned and it runs true and straight.
The Alignment guy said he has seen a few Poly Pivot Bushing that did squish and leave a gap. He explained how the Torsion bar has a lot of weight on it from the twisting action and does not feel the pivot bushing will have any movement and the alignment should not be affected. So In my opinion I'm not happy with the gap but nothing can be done since the other brands have also been known to do it. I've not heard anything about the RareParts brand but they are $244 for the pair. Kind of expensive to test with.

You know, I can’t help but think the answer to this would be new lower shells for the pivot bushings with a tighter I/D.
The factory rubber bushings are very large and over flowing with material compared to Poly bushings and there’s a considerable amount of empty space. You can see it in the photo @dkamp shared.
If new lower shells were available with a tighter I/D to make proper contact with the poly bushing to actually squeeze and support it from all sides, all the material getting squeezed out wouldn’t be nearly as dramatic or possibly may not even occur at all.
