I was just going through all of the various lists:
For A bodies only
For B Bodies only
For C bodies only
For F,M, J Bodies only

I noted that the R bodies are left out. I realize that they were a very short production run and kind of the orphans among even the Mopar crowd (seeing as they have no representation). I know they are in many ways closely related to B bodies, so maybe they fit in there?

Any thought to adopting them here? I realize they aren't of the bent torsion bar brethren, but they are of the late 70's/ early 80's and fit in many ways with discussions (dealing with Lean Burn etc.).

They've always been accepted as part of our family as far as I've ever known.
They are a grey area but I love those cars. The St Regis is a personal fave as well as the 81 Gran Fury. I'd say they're more than at home here although it doesn't physically name them in our title.

I too, love R bodies. I logged many a mile in them. Over the years I had 3 New Yorkers (none of them a 5th Ave, which I ultimately desired) and 4 Newports.

I also have a 79 Cordoba- I know that many say, they're B bodies- but they have underneath the skin differences and Chrysler Corp called them R bodies so that's good enough for me.

The 79 Cordoba is a weird grey area car.
I've always considered it a B simply because of wheelbase
The 79 Doba is 115" and R bodies are 118.5"
But this topic has been debated many times....

In my conversation with the guy that actually hacked it they used a lot of R parts in the conversion on my Limo.

Gorgeous car. I always thought they should've made a 4 dr from 81-83.

They are for sure a grey area car.

JR rode in it! I have documentation that it was used on the Dallas TV show. And that is where I saw a limo imp first & then it came up for sale a few years later!

That's gorgeous!
Does that make it a JR?....
