Well.. Here's the deal.
I've got my hands full already with my other two.
The only things I really want are the headlight bezels and the AM radio.
The boneyard told me $300 and all they care about is that the engine and tranny are still there AND they'll come and get it. That's if I strip the crap out of it.
Aside from the bezels and radio I don't really care about anything else.
If you can arrange to get it out of the driveway and take it away. Then bounce a number off me. PM if you prefer.

Gotta make some phone calls for a tow rig...at a decent price.
That's where I lose money.

I'll give the $300 the boneyard offered.
And you get the bezels and radio.

Gonna be at least $200-$250 to ship it with the gas prices.

I have one last item.
IF the wheel well trim is descent, I might take that too.
If you're good with that we have a deal.
The only catch is it's in a buddy's driveway so I need it gone SOON.
Let me know.

I agree.
Also bugs my ass when it's because some butchers have done so much beautiful work on it.
This thing has turned out to be a bondo sculpture rust bucket.
If it wasn't for the lack of frame rail I'd probably save it.
But I don't have the time or money to save this one.
I bought it for $300, I've sunk $100 in for brake line, fittings, etc. and the best price I can get on a rail is $350.
I'm cutting my losses and getting out now.
Like I said before.. I NEVER buy a car without crawling all over it.
Floor pans, frame rails, etc.
Couldn't do it with this one. No room to get in the midget garage. So... I rolled the dice.
Figured...one owner car, 61,000km's on the clock..
How bad could it be?
Answer: Bad.
Rolled the dice and came up snake eyes.

I'd rather toss $1000 for a 4bbl and exhaust before I did $1000 of rust repair.

Since it's only Monday, I might be able to get it this weekend.
I have to call my M buddies in London and set up a plan.
I have the place to park it.

My satellite phone is screwy with the solar storm.

Ya. Can't stand seening it going to the crusher where they don't care.

Before you pop wheel well moulding, the back ones are different on a 4 dr than a 2 dr.

I'll measure them up.
If they are I'll just take the front.

When are you planning to come get it?

You did something wrong PMing.

Don't be popping off the backs.
There is 2 different part numbers also. One for 2dr,one for 4 dr.

I had 4 rough ones from a 2 dr and tried to see if one would near fit a rear passenger side on a 4 dr. Not even close.

The Dip must be in rough shape when even I get talked out of saving one.
But talk is there is not much on it to be used.
Thought worse case the 2 front doors and the red interior, but the doors are toast and the interior is beat.

So even I will pass on the Dip.

A sad day I know but sometimes they're just too far gone and you gotta let 'em go.
Trust me Doc...
I'm doing you a favour.

If the front doors were good and the interior was good, I'd gamble on the other rust for the cash.

But $300 for the Dip and $350 for transportation makes it not worth my time when even the bare basic parts I want are toast.

Well Doc,
As Kenny Rogers would say,
You gotta know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away and
Know when to run.

She did her time
Now her days are done.

Like I told you Doc...
I'd never put one in the ground if I didn't have to.

So long Dippy. :icon_salut:

Update.
Well... Turns out Doc never bought the Dip.
I talked him out of it cause this thing WAS rotten.
Think I figured out one of the reasons why.
Over the years, it would seem someone took a stab at doing some very creative body work.
Thought I'd seen it all by way of bondo sculptures but this is a new one for me.
Whoever slathered on this creation apparently didn't think it was necessary to actually PUT ANY HARDENER IN THE BONDO!
I found sections everywhere with 3 inches (not exaggerating) of UNHARDENED bondo.
Everytime it rained or he drove through a puddle or in the rain, snow, salt etc.
It just re soaked it all again.
Raw white bondo. Beautiful job.
Well that was one of the elements that helped kill this poor thing.
Anyway, they came and got her today.
She's gone to that big Dodge dealership in the sky.
R.I.P. Dippy.
