Glanced through it and its just another tuber getting an unsafe pos of any brand to go down the highway.

However they do have a leg up on most here that cant even keep a running/driving car running and driving. Go figure.

it's not a bad little video. Anything that advertises F/M bodies is good for the hobby.

Cant agree with that. Youtube is full of mis info on all makes and models, much on our cars and then even when a small portion takes that as gospel and repeats it as well as long time myths it does nothing good for any group. Just look at all the vids sparked off from one like Uncle Tony. Every time I watch a vid that makes one go WTF the reference to seeing Uncle Tony do it comes shortly after.

In the pic section here people post pics of unsafe cars and trucks of all makes and models and they get public rebuke for the shit cans allowed to go down the road but for some reason Youtubers get a pass on unsafe vehicles. Hard to grasp. But one day when a tuber get burned up or something breaks and hurts someone just driving down the highway things will change.

But I do realize its entertainment driven as all the real informative or factual vids on youtube get little play.

In my world most normal people wanting to move a car does it the old fashioned way... they responsibly take there car trailer to pic up some pos.

Anyways, just an observation/opinion and we know how those go.

Here my friend, watch the first 5 minutes of this vid here and with all the negative talk and mis info. How is this good for the hobby? There are countless vids just like this when many of us know different. I really love the "outdated suspension" comment.

It's fun to watch someone bringing something back from the dead, but @XfbodyX is right. Guys will get shitboxes running and drive 1000 miles across the country without even touching the brakes. Just watch a couple guys get a rotary Japanese pickup running after sitting 30 years. They did and it ran good, but decided not to touch the double wheel cylinder drum brakes as long as it stops and then proceed to drive 400 miles. So GD stupid.

I watched about half of it before I got bored.
It is neat when someone does one of these cars or like vice grip garage did an Imperial.
But i do agree with Duke5A and XfbodyX.

I saw that rotary engine video too and thought it was neat thst they were able to get it making compression and running.

One thing from that video, here's a good shot of the under glove box map light that they kept the spot for right thru the 80s after tou couldn't get it anymore. It's missing the lens tho.

pretty damn sure these guys do a lot of work off camera plus stretch the truth as well. probably just like on TV they got a whole crew of guys working on the cars. hell sometimes they just throw a new battery in a junker that's been sitting 20 years and the thing fires right up. really? then they'll drive it down the street with allegedly no brakes. sure. still entertaining

thanks for a new channel recommendation. i always liked channels like Dylan McCool, Vice Grip, and Junkyard Digs.

Can only take them at face value. If someone wants to cosplay an idiot and I have no problem calling them as such.

Dylan's channel is really well done. If you like engine teardowns and autopsies then 'I Do Cars' is high recommended.

I agree, but I doubt if most of these drive those long trips. They probably trailer them, get them off in a coupe states, drive them a mile or two for footage and put them back in the trailer and edit when they get home. This is basically "TV" or Hollywood, ie fake. Make believe. It's not to be taken seriously.

These guys drove. They live streamed hours and hours of it for proof. It's basically a Roadkill tribute.

It is purely entertainment though; something to pass the time that's better than a lot of the crap on TV these days.

I don't know about what the cops are like in the US, but if you put something like that on the road in Canada, you wouldn't get down the road for more than about 10 kilometers before you were pulled over, and the car would either be put on the side of the road pending arrival of a tow/flat deck vehicle, or just plain out impounded. These idiots aren't just endangering themselves, they also endanger all the other people around them; and there is no reason to do so.
