Did you already buy this? I'm using the Lokar cable kit on mine and more than pleased.

Yes I did, have friend that got one for his dart and a few others that were pleased with the setup. Just was trying to make sure the kickdown is where it should be so I don’t burn it up.

I've always set set them up so the carb was at wide open throttle, WOT and the same for the transmission.

I have the Bouchillon set up on my car and it works flawlessly.
Same adjustment. Throttle valve lever on trans fully to the rear stop when the carb is at WOT.

Unless they've changed it in the past 25 years since I bought mine, only thing I did was make a bracket the spring attaches to on the bell housing so it pulls straight instead of at a 45 degree angle like the one that came in the kit.

Which kit you use (MRE, Bouchillon, Lokar or factory) is not too important.
What IS important is you have one, its working as designed and its adjusted correctly.

I read the directions (above) and the only change I would make is I would also change the transmission return spring a bit and not have it going at a 45’ angle, like what @Aspen500 mentioned – but not sure that it needs to be changed though (but it would drive me nuts).

It bugged me big time (the spring). Just to irritate a bit, when I bought mine in the early '90's, they cost half as much ($89.95) :D

Know I've a pic of the throttle valve spring bracket, just can't find it on my 'puter.

Do you have a pic of yours as far as adjustment on top, where the cable is positioned on the bracket and throttle cable etc.?
