Interesting idea. I'd like to see lists of the FMJ's that members have owned.
As for myself, I have never owned an M or a J - not that I wouldn't have liked to. ;)
But, here is a list of the various Mopar F bodies that I have owned including those that I only bought for parts. All the rest, other than the T-top and OY, were daily drivers. Also, all were wagons other than the T-top. Love those wagons!

’76 Volare Premier wagon, 225/4 speed, dark brown

’76 Aspen Special Edition wagon, 225/auto, medium green

’77 Volare base wagon, 225/auto, mint green

’77 Volare base wagon, 225/3 speed, medium blue (parts car)

’77 Volare Premier wagon, Super Six/auto, black woody (parts car)

’78 Volare Custom wagon, Super Six/auto, medium blue

’78 Aspen Special Edition coupe, T-tops, 225/auto, white w/gold vinyl top

’78 Aspen base wagon, Super Six/4 speed, light yellow (OY!):)

’78 Aspen base wagon, Super Six/auto, light yellow (parts car)

’79 Volare Premier wagon, Super Six/auto, dark brown woody

Here's a pic of our old Volare shortly after I repainted it around 1987. I removed all the side trim and hood trim because I thought it looked cleaner. Traded this car for a v-8 Monza. I wished I still had the Volare and wished I'd have never seen that Monza. Without a doubt the worst trade I ever made. That Monza was the the biggest POS I ever owned.

Trade a Volare for a Monza? What WERE you thinking? lol I remember those things and yes, they were POS's of major proportions. Look at this way, how many FMJ bodies are still around and Monza's? Haven't seen one anywhere, meaning magazines, TV, etc in eons. Obviously they vanished around here by the mid '80's due to the tin worm but there were still FMJ's running around everywhere yet.
Hmmm, you painted your Volare in 1987? That's the year I bought my Aspen:cool:

I bought that Volare in late 1985 from a friend of my dad's and traded it around '89-'90.
The Monza was a fun car...when it ran. It had a worked 350 with a TH 350 trans. Unfortunately, it always wanted to run hot and the 7.5" ring gear was not up to the task. I replaced the rear end 2-3 times. It was a goofy set-up with the torque arm that bolted to the rear of the trans as the third link, like the 3rd gen Camaros. I had to replace it with another 7.5 rather than get a stronger one from another car because there were no other rear ends made that way at the time. The worst part though was the car had aluminum wiring and the electrics would just stop working for no reason. I'd have to smack the harness a couple times in the right spot and it would go back to working. I could deal with the lights not working but it had an electric fuel pump and it left me stranded a bunch of times until I ran a dedicated circuit to the pump. I have never owned a GM product since. Sorry to get so far off topic...

My first was a 76 wagon,
then a 79 wagon,
then an 80 Volare sportback, still have this one, since 94
finally a 77 Aspen 4-door. This was a good running car, but I bought it for parts.
I sorta wish I still had a wagon.

Hey AJ!! Still have that car in a snow bank I might be interested in??
