I'm such a novice compared to you...lolI think the "Super Mod" thing came from drag racing. I think Joey sets that up when he makes us Moderators. I don't think I can change it.
I stop in here a couple times a day when I make my rounds. I found this thread and of course I had to stop by and say cheers to you all. I'm a whiskey taster and collector. I belong to a local tasting group and a friend and I have done a few barrel picks. We also host a whisky tasting at a local bar where we teach nosing and tasting. Oh and I was a MAC Tool dealer for 28 years, hence the name.
Sorry, I didn't know you were a lady when I said "Cheers fellas". I don't spend much time backreading.
Thanks for the reply. Heck, do an inventory of what you have and let me take a look. I would be happy to see if some are the real good stuff. Packaging and shipping is the worst if you ship them off. Although, I have a pile of boxes and cardboard inserts in the basement just in case.I'm such a novice compared to you...lol
No worries about the Cheers Fellas ... We both know you would be able to tell the difference if we met in person. Kinda hard to figure that out over print media.
I've been MIA for several months sorting through family issues which is why I missed your visits. Just trying to catch up and didn't want you to feel unwanted. This is an awesome group of folks on this forum.
I'm not much of a drinker.. just trying to figure out if any of these partial bottles should stay here or if it should all get re-gifted to someone else. I know things were expensive to buy and hate to just pour it out in the garden.

I have taken to old fashions lately. I too like the blend of flavors. Cheers! My sip for the night. I was working on my 64 and got chilled being outside all afternoon. This warmed me up a bit. That sounds wonderful.
I didn't have a Friday Libation as I was driving all day Saturday and needed to be sharp.
I was going to try an old fashion but while I got the cherries and have an orange, completely forgot to go by bitters.
So Tuesday evening (Tomorrow) will be my Friday Libation effort.
I love the taste of cloves and cinnamon and orange.

Cool bottle I have never seen before. Rum would be my guess because it is made from sugar cane. You have a lot of mixers there but not a lot to drink. LOL The Vodka's should be fun as well as the Tequila's. You could make an Old Fashion with the Makers Mark. I see you have some bitters.toolmanmike...
I sorted through the bottles in the kitchen and those in the closet, this evening.
I also will be down to my dad's and see what is left there.
I have this bottle but have absolutely no idea what it is other than imported...

Cool bottle covering though.
So far I have:
4 bottles of different types of wine.
1 Large full Bottle of Imported Epic Vodka, 1 Partial of Imported Russian Vodka
1 Full bottle of Hornitos Cristilano Tequila, 1 Partial of Golden Jose Cuervo Tequila
Partials:
Tawney Port
Harvey's Bristol Cream
Two Large nearly full Canadian Mist - both open
Creme de Menthe
Orange Bitters
Regular Bitters
Maker's Mark Whiskey
Everclear - about 1/2 bottle
4 full bottles of Corona Beer
1 can of Guiness
Little bit of Amarreto
Little bit of Kahlua
1/2 bottle of Bicardi Rum
I'll get the itemized list of the rest of it when I go down to check on the trust this week.
I was really looking forward to making an old-fashioned, but its looking like I'd have to buy some brandy so that might have to wait until next week.
Got any idea what is in the bottle in the picture above?

Well -- After I got my shower, put on my clean jeans, good shirt, platform shoes, hat, and started to hit the road down to the trust.. I get a call from my brother that he won't be there til tomorrow.I didn't get down to the trust today -- but am going on Thursday. I'll have more info tomorrow.

Priorities! I had quite a list of things I wanted to accomplish today but other than modding on 4 of Joey's sites, taking a nap, and a shower, that's just about it. No working on the car today, no Wal Mart run. Heck not even the dishes. I did muster up enough energy to get the garbage ready for tomorrow. Sinus/allergies have kicked in. Way worse at 70 than when I was 20.Well -- After I got my shower, put on my clean jeans, good shirt, platform shoes, hat, and started to hit the road down to the trust.. I get a call from my brother that he won't be there til tomorrow.
So no info until tomorrow.
I think I'll change out of good clothes and back into project clothes and see if its dry enough to get the car off the trailer.
Guess I'll do it all again tomorrow.
Sigh.

I was driving so I only had a Margarita and sipped on a shot of tequila. Lauren (my youngest) on the other hand, had a snoot full. 2 Margs, 3 shots of tequila and a shot or two of Fireball. She wasn't pretty. We had a heck of a time getting her poured out of the car and into the house. Been there!Cheers! Heading out soon to one of the local Mex cantina's for some Margs and food.
What could possibly go wrong here. We had fun. Less than half an oz. In each glass.I'll raise a glass for you tonight if you do one for me.
Enjoy your evening.
