Same here. I did my 5th avenue website years ago which is still around but never got into the YouTube thing. Which is too bad because there's money to be made there.

you're pulling the motor and stuff? it runs for now just not good?
It runs. But I think piston rings are worn. Seems to lose power after running a bit. When I added factory police oil cooler. It seemed to take longer. I mean I'm. No expert. But with an unknown number of miles and condition before I got the car. I'm gonna just pull it and rebuild. Using police spec parts.

Plus a new experience. I've rebuilt a torqueflite, on to an engine.

That thing is crying for a 4" crank and custom ground roller cam. Keep the outside of it stock appearing.

Im and all OEM guy, plus keep it factory. Minus adding the chrysler creature comforts..lol

On a different note on the drip rail moldings. Does anyone make the clips?

Plus I used butyl tape with the drip rail I think what's what chrysler used. What did you all use? For those who replaced theirs?

So back from the up fitter. looks like a million bucks. Its got added Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Amp, Power Antenna. Police Oil Cooler. All Chrysler parts all installed. And ALL working. Didn't come from the factory with them. but i wanted them and installed all of them.

The car just looks amazing. This is what the county i live in had. looks as close as i could get with what photos I could find. Been a long time coming for this. but almost the end.

Only thing i want is a police partition. only thing missing.

Cool!
That's neat you added all stuff to it. The one I have is a stripper even radio delete.
I've also been trying to find a cage or at least see one to copy since they were pretty basic back then.

It wasn't easy to add it all. but its beneficial. just makes it cooler...lol. Power windows is convenient.

I had a parasitic draw for months until i traced it to i wired the power and ground to the power antenna backwards.

I was thinking the same thing. Or happen to ask a company that existed in the 80's and made cages if they happpen to still have plans.

At one point when they were affordable to buy and plentiful in yards it would have been pretty easy to pick up a 5th Avenue or loaded dodge or plymouth to rob the power stuff and wiring out of. But now even the junk ones are going for what good ones used to sell for. I should have bought some for parts when they were under a grand.

Some of the dividers back then were also made in house or local but to me even a period correct looking one would do at this point.
