New in the box Sneaky Pete NOS system

I paid 260 for this last year with the intent to put it on my 79 f body coupe. Then thought to put it on the 97 SS/T Ram. It just sits and stares back at me, taunting me, tempting me. I just can't seem to make the jump to use it. That's my depressing and sad Nitrous story. If someone want's to end my torture, let me know. I'd like to get 200 and some you tube video of the end product (after installation) on someone else's ride (who has the balls to use this).

Sorry guys
Only thing I have close to a nitrous story is the time I drove a buddy to Gravenhurst in a 300
He had pickled eggs and guinness the night before....
Windows down...don't light a match.... :icon_eek:
If I could have put what was coming out of his ass into that engine
I could have done a 6 second quarter.

I ran a NOS Cheater system, upto 250 shot on a 360 engine.
Run one step colder plugs gapped on the tight side and retard the timing 2 degrees for every 75hp shot you add, to start with. 150 shot or larger, you should run race fuel and Non projected tip spark plugs.
I use a WOT micro switch for activation, typically you don't want to spray below 3000 RPMs.
I run N2O and 6 PSI of boost at the same time. The N2O makes for a cool dense intake charge.

My brother saw my ad and a video I put up of a guy going through the sticks of a Lenco in a 73 duster on FB and wanted it. I doubt the NOS cheater is staying in the family since my brother's wife is more strick than mine. So any takers? Some dude called and wanted it for his Toyota Scion XB. He also wanted me to help him install it. I told him I would but pay for the kit first and then pay me with a couple of cheese steak sandwiches - south Philly style of course. What can I say, I work cheap.... the dude never showed.......

The sneaky pete is a 30 to 50 dry shot, as opposed the the NOS Cheater System that's a wet shot upto 250hp.

isn't the wet shot safer for the engine or something like that

v

Yes. Wet shot is the safest way because u add more fuel whie spraying the nos, so u dont lean out the motor from to much nos. Me personanlly, i would only spray if im using a wet shot.

I do spray my 03 hemi with a 150 wet shot, and I got to say, its awesome. As stated above, dont spray at lower rpms. I dont spray my truck blow 2500 rpm. Best way to spray would be using a WOT switch while using a progressive controller, because spraying at part throttl could cause very bad things to happen.

JasperJacko, what kit did you have in mind?
A basic plate kit upto 150hp is nice. Start with a small 75 shot and learn from there.
I use a bottle warmer to maintain 1000psi, but I have played with 1200psi.
The wet system is the only way to go and for those of you spraying a big shot150 or more), I would run a longer nitrous line, from solenoid to plate. For example, the fuel line from solenoid to plate is 12" long, I would run a 18" long line from nitrous to plate, so the fuel and N2O are hitting the plate at the same time.
This can avoid a lean pop, fuel at 7psi travels slower than N2O at 1000psi.

I've played with NOS a few times. 3 years ago I ran a 150 hp shot on my 360''. my car picked up 1 full second and 12 mph. as mentioned, colder plugs and back timing 2* for every 50 hp you add.

I have a 200 hp shot plumed into my 440'' small block, but haven't used it this year. i'm hoping in sept sometime to unlease the beast!

I have a NOS sniper set up on my 340 dart. I have ran a 100-200 shot through it probably dozen or so times so far. Like as mentioned pulling timing is very important, I pulled a couple degrees extra to be safe when I first started using it. I got some good tune ups from a NOS tech up to 200 hp, and he was sure to mention pulling timing to keep the tune up safe more than once. Not a tech line but a guy who works for NOS and helps high $ nitrous guys at the track tune their setups. I have the tune ups wrote down if some one needs them. Anything bigger than what I run should have its own fuel system. I run a holley black pump and 3/8 line and Y it off under the hood, one regulator to carb the other to nitrous plate. My car ran 12.98 @ 105 NA the day I tried my nitrous. I tried 100 shot my first time out, all went well and cant remember what it ran for a time. I had the 150 jets in the next time. With 150 I could not spray the whole 1/4 mile, it was too much for my 235/60/15 BFG drag radials, spun into 2nd gear, so next pass I hit the button at about the 60ft mark or so. It ran 12.1 @ 113, my trap rpm was 6800! little more than my normal 6000 I shift at. I did try the 200 shot my next run but it ran the same time, I did not have a bottle heater and it is hard to keep the bottle pressure up without one, so by the time I got up to stage it was lower than the recommended 950lbs. I know it will run 11's with 150 shot if I can get it to hook out of the hole, a new set of taller MT drag radials will help it hook and bring the rpm down at the stripe.

Not a fmj body, but had nitrous on my 66 Cuda with a 170 slant six. Fogger system, spraying 225 shot. Car weighed 3250 lbs, and ran high 12's (12.905 at 101.85mph).

I've run it on big and small blocks. Plate systems from 125 to 300 with throttle switches and/or button. I also helped my buddy on his bike he raced. Bike went 8.65 with no bar and a Fogger system with a progressive controller. Awesome stuff, but like crystal meth. Addictive, and ultimately expensive when you use it a lot.

I may have a bit of a nitrous addiction. Do they have a place for meetings with this problem? Lol.
