For those of us watching our nickels and dimes.......

When somebody talks about scrapping that old 318.......

Tell 'em you'll haul it off......

While it may never make a gazillion horsepower, done right, it might just really embarass somebody.:icon_redface:

A SS/ 318 motor goes for 10-15K. Might want to rethink this.

Feel Better Now?

I'm well aware of what both a S/S and Stock eliminator motor can cost.

I posted that photo just to generate a smartass comment. Here, this should make you feel better.

There was a thread on a class racer board where Chevy guys were lamenting about being hit with horsepower refactors for the new season. There were increases of 3, 7 and 11 horsepower.

An F-body 360 racer told them to quit complaining: He'd gotten whacked with 35!

They may be on to us.......SSHHHHHH.

Yep and a record holder too. This passed week a turbo slant notch back Barracuda ran a 9.62 at the meet at Mason Dixon Raceway in Maryland. Speaking of 'Teen,, I would take a 318 over a 360 anyday. Just fond of that ol' teen.

Sounds like we'd get along well....
Slants and Teener's are my fave engines....
Pretty fond of 440's too....
