If you haven't already......check this thread out from start to finish.
It's incredible what he's done with this car in a ridiculously short amount of time.
Mind blowing.

And your thread now has just under 28,000 views!!

Filled up the tank today...just need to load the car up with all my stuff and I am ready to move. Just wish I could kick this bug. I am feeling really sick today and i have alot to do in the next few days. not sure what to expect when my EX gets back. on a side note the car has stopped the smoking problem it had. I think the good old 15w-40 rotella T and a can of six cylinder engine restore had something to do with it. its running very well and I feel confident that it will make the trip. 310 miles

Go to the drug store and buy some Rodoxon.
Awesome stuff.....it's just vitamin C with some D.
It fizzes like Alka seltzer and will kill a cold in a day.
My aunt is a nurse and she swears by it.
I've used it for decades....she swears it's because of the bubbles!!
I had a cold Tuesday and it's gone now.

Good to hear the beast is running well.
Get well my friend and keep your chin up.
I'm rooting for you.

I think this was done before but it deserves another look....

Ok so I have had some issues with the engine. I noticed that there was the tell tale white sludge under my oil filler cap this morning. I went and got a bottle of bar's heavy duty radiator stop leak and so far so good no more water vapor under the cap. it just needs to last untill after the drive then I am finding another slant to rebuild. or a 360....thinking 360 if I can find one.

Did you pull the dipstick?
Is there water in the oil?
I've had the creamy oil cap before but it was condensation from it being cold out.
There was no water in the oil itself.
Just curious...

water in the oil but not really bad I used the stop leak and it has stopped it for now. I will be changing the head gasket if it arises again. before I used the stop leak I was getting water vapor under the cap after running it. now it is clean no more water in the oil. I just have to make it 310 miles then I will be near a few good junk yards and I will be able to rebuild an engine the right way. other than that no problems at all so I think i will be able to run this engine until I rebuild the next one. for sure.

Rich- you surely changed water into wine with that one.

What oil are you running? Pennzoi, Quakerstate, Castrol all will do that because of filler agents in the oil. The agents will hold moisture and foam up. The Valvoline high mileage my help somewhat, but be careful running that 20/50 weight oil.
Maybe just run Valvoline 10W40 conventional

Thanks slant6billy it was alot of work to do in 90 days thats for sure.

Running Rotella T 15W-40 its what I always have run in my slants without fail. Keeps the engine clean and the oil pressure and compression high. I have started it a couple times and have no more water vapor on anything so I am happy for now.

I'm thinking the legendary slant will come through for you man.
Glad you nipped it in the bud.....

Billy nailed it on the head.
You did indeed turn water into wine.....and in 90 days.
I've shown this thread to numerous car buddies and at first they think I'm jerking their chain till they read it.

You're a legend buddy!!!

Update:

I packed all my stuff into the car it was loaded to the absolute maximum there literally was no room for anything else in it even with airshocks and helper springs...she was sagging lol

I drove the Blackbird 310 miles and I think I was getting around 18-19 MPG the car was solid the entire way.

Mission Complete!!
