Really can't go anywhere near the main roads due to all the 'we have too much money' shoppers.

Now it's dark and gloom, but the rain held off and it's 50F.
But it still nice enough I've been going out between loads of 'half price hydro' laundry.

I keep forgetting it's the middle of December, not that it's a bad thing to forget, lol.
Last night we had an old fashioned thunderstorm. Rain deluge, lightning, cracking thunder, the works. This morning there's worms crawling on the pavement (on Dec 13th, in north central Wiscosnsin..........)44 degrees and it's supposed to hit 55 later on with more heavy rain. Weird. I love that El Nino dude!
Later this week though, reality check . High's in the 20's. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Not really any snow forecast so it's not all bad news.

The rain finally pretty much stopped late this afternoon after coming down since Saturday night. When I say rain, I mean RAIN, like a steady, non-stop downpour. Heard on the radio driving home from work this evening the total came to right around 4 1/2". The Wisconsin River (goes right through the middle of the metro area here) is over it's banks in the flood plain areas big time. The smaller ones that feed into it are just over their banks period and not just in the flood plain areas.
The river is at the end of my street (about 2 blocks) but no worries, it's an almost vertical drop to the water of 20-30 feet. If it rose that far,,,,,,,,,it would mean the world is ending!
I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad it wasn't snow! Same amount of moisture would equate to something like 3-4 feet of snow. Phew!

Dose of reality today, mid 20's with a 20-30 mph north wind. Friday MIGHT get up to 20 and still windy :( Better than it could have been I suppose. Been years where the highest temp for all of Dec was 15 degrees (F) with knee deep snow.
According to the 5pm weather forecast, it'll be a green Christmas here also. Good news is it'll be in the mid 30's next week.

Here's what it looked like Dec 25th, 2014 as compared with the bare ground we have now and probably will have still next Friday the 25th. I like this year MUCH better!
