So rare we have an evening when we can watch a movie together.
Was a good day for both of us, finally some cooler weather makes it easier on him to breathe.

The Big Lebowski --
Is there anything funnier than all the cremains being tossed out of the coffee can by John Goodman (walter) and blowing back all over Jeff Bridges (Lewbowski)??

I laugh every time.

CMA awards tonight.

My observations so far:
Keith Urban finally sang a song I could understand and it was particularly well done.
Seems like most of the celebrities have gained about 20 pounds since last year.
My favorite singers seem to all have gray hair -- whats up with that?
Beyonce's choice in dresses makes her look like a hooker.
She also needs to let go of the blonde bimbo look... getting stale.
Peyton Manning is tall ... or most of the country singers seem short.
George Strait still looks damn good in his black hat, jacket and denim jeans.
Carrie Underwood wears some amazing dresses very well.
Who's the nitwit on stage design that put those overly bright lights behind the singers so they blind you when the camera pans across.
Willie didn't come this year ... dang.
I still miss Roger Miller.
Garth and Trisha look like they are still honeymooning.
How can Dolly Parton be 70?
Tim McGraw -- enough said.
I don't miss the Rap music from last year.
Vince Gill looks like somebodys grandpa.
Eric Church has that bad boy look down pat with those sun glasses.
Its nice to see folks give thankyou speeches and thank god/jesus/the lord and be comfortable doing that instead of ridiculed for being christian.
I do believe everyone has a thicker country twang than in years past.

THere are so many jokes/gags going by so fast in Airplane that you need to watch the movie a 5-10 times to even figure out half of them. And every time you watch it, it gets funnier.

The test if a movie's truly funny is, it's funny the 1st time you see it and it's still just as funny the 50th time. "AIRPLANE!" qualifies, as does ones like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs, Police Squad, Caddyshack, etc, etc, etc.

The hazard lights say 'weird', 'strange' and 'bizarre'

I think I need a set in my Fifth Avenue.

Did you mean AIRPLANE II? I saw it on the program guide earlier. That's the one Sonny Bono was in, heading for the DeMoines Institute,,,,,,,,,,on the Lunar Shuttle. We're familiar with it.
One Adam-12. What the heck is that's guy's name???
Jimmy, do you like it when Scraps grabs onto your leg and,,,,,,,rubs up and down? lol

BTW Justwondering,,,,,,,,I saw "The Big Lebowski" a couple weeks ago during a Starz free preview week on Dish. You were right, hilarious!

You were right it was airplane 2.
Is probably why I didn't remember Sony Bono. I've seen the original more often. Seemed funnier.

So glad you liked the big lebowski. I swear I was in high school with a guy that was related to him. Talk about marching to a different drummer. Lol

Yesterday was a tough day for hubby which means I worried a lot.
Today was better... he asked to go get a hamburger, so I obliged.
When we got back, he went to the greenhouse and I came upstairs and cleaned up the mess the dogs made.
Since everything was to clean, I decided to put up the Christmas Tree and watched a movie while I was getting things up and decorated... The movie?

Cast Away
Cast-Away-DI.jpg

And there were so many memorable scenes...
I selected the above picture because it perfectly captures my joy when I get something working correctly on the Fifth Avenue.
Was a good movie.

Cast Away is a good show and worth seeing – but long.
I forget what his “friends” name was, though.

I didn’t know someone could get so much usage out of a “shoe”.
