WANTED Where Is That Y When Pipe When You Want It?

Bet Summit doesn't have it.
When it comes to M's, lot of places in the US list the Walker 40430 Canadian Y pipe but no one can produce one.
That's why they come to me for one.
 
Thats why you have it...but when your out then what? ....J body. Old car not much demand anymore...Walker will make it...
Find a WINDSHIELD for a J/Y...
 
Great...then might just wait on mine...then I might say f it and go with headers and dump all emission garbage...

If you're interested in an aftermarket version I have a magnaflow y-pipe, Part # 10758 that I'm selling. Its dual 2.25" inlet and single 2.5" outlet. I was going to use it on my 77 Volare, but my exhaust guy said my original y pipe is solid and could save me $ by not installing it when I redid my exhaust system. He said it would be hard to install because I have 2" coming off of the manifolds, but you could easily expand to 2.25". Mine actually does this between to two manifolds, but it was the end of the day and I think the guy didn't want to do all the extra work to install it. These y-pipes have been known to increase performance, of course, only mildly. Just thought I'd throw it out there, $30, plus shipping.

I did eventually get the real deal from the land up North. The car definitely responds better in that first quarter petal area. Let's face it that is where you drive boogie'ing between stop lights. So I think I smile bigger driving the car now. Plus my low end bog off of dead stop is gone.

O yes, very different. One is an OEM replacement, the other an aftermarket upgrade. For almost the same cost of the walker you could weld in custom pipe and the magnaflow. It might cost slightly more, but the walker would be much simpler, more of a bolt in design. The magnaflow setup would definitely be more if you wanted to run the pre-cats. My car had one and I deleted it, now I am just running a single magnaflow cat. What a world of difference! What gets me is my cars original setup was 2" off the manifolds to a 2.25" expanding to 2.5". The original cat is 2.5" and the inlet for the original muffler is 2.5" but the outlet of the muffler goes back to 2"! They bottlenecked it right at the last length of pipe. Very strange. Needless to say I got 2.5" all the way to the back now and she breathes allot better.
 
Well found out from slummit order cancelled..walker will not make this anymore..DISCONTINUED...SO NO EXHAUST NO WINDSHIELD CANT FIND A PARTS CAR...WELL THEN I AM SELLING THIS PITA...82 MIRADA TTOP IN PHOENIX ON CL...
 
like I said in post #19....I have a couple nice used Y pipes.
glass for the mirada I cant help you with.
