Hey guys and gals -

Here are some photos of my car from when I got it up to last night. Sort of a time line of photos.

what is the width? and do you gain back space?
The 97 Mustang rear end is .75 inch wider than the stock rear end. This works out well to use a little wider wheel/tire but not run into the leaf spring. Not much different, but some.

I like those seats!

Some questions I have on your “changeover”
- Using a /6 or small block K-frame?
- Going to get rid of rubber K-Frame biscuits?
- Any other suspension modifications?
- What ignition (or fuel) system are you going to use?
- Are you going to retain the 18” wide radiator, go to the wider 26” radiator, or something else?
- I understand going with power steering (cool idea with electric column) – but are you going to get a faster ratio gear? Manual steering gears are rather slow. Power assist on a slow gear will be very easy but still slow to turn steering.
- What transmission do you plan on using?

Thank you,

Car was a slant six but I put a small block K-frame in it. This way I could use the available motor mounts from Schumacher.

- Going to get rid of rubber K-Frame biscuits?

I'm going to be ordering poly replacements from Spring n Things.

- Any other suspension modifications?

I will be welding torque boxes and subframe connectors in once the car is "on its feet" again.

- What ignition (or fuel) system are you going to use?

I will be using the EFI Source plug n play harness and Gold box with an inline Walbro fuel pump. I may need to install a sump. Not sure yet.

haven't gotten that far yet.

This most likely will be temporary. I'm going to be researching manual steering racks. In fact, a Dodge Omni manual rack may work. I own a GLH-T. I will be measuring this summer (when the GLH is out)

My car is an original 4 speed. I've got the bell housing to fit it to the hemi. I'm thinking of sending the trans to Passon to change first gear and bush the case. I've got the design to change it to hydraulic too. Or more accurately, mechanical and hydraulic.

Thank you,
