It's got 4:11 gears and it "sure grip"s..... I'm posi-tive both wheels spin.
This rear is going under my 79. As for the 77 4 speed car ( That I surely don't own- "I'm just working on it for some dude from the car forum").... the 77 will keep the 7 1/4...... for now. Recall 2 months ago I got a 70 b 8 3/4

I surely hope so, since Gator did a spectacular job.... I almost don't want to install it- it is that beautiful...... Nope, it's going in.

You can break an 8¾” – but is really hard to do.

Many years ago, I seen a guy carry a driveshaft, with the front half of a Dana 60 (9¾”) and rear half of an 18 spline A833, that he blew up in his Challenger.
It did a number on the driveshaft, as well.

With a 742 case you should be good for awhile until mopars at e town this year
 
Want to give some details about your “massive 6 leaf ones”?

Note: I have some almost 50 year old used HiPo rear leaf springs (5-2/halves one side and 6½ leaves on the other side) – that I was considering was robbing the ½ leafs and adding onto an existing 5 leaf spring (using older shock plates – won’t work with ISO-Clamp), for rear axle windup with big block.

I wish I had info. Not a part number on these. They have an iso clamp nub with the collar. They are the correct length for an F. They have the front hanger on them from what appears to be an F. Were they factory or custom? Don't know. Is my ride quality going to suffer.... absolutely! It is a kidney buster already
 
How I got these is as strange as they are. Guy with some varied cars and tough to understand had them with my 79.
