BAHAHA....... One must be on drugs to listen to Floyd Kramer.

Funny thing is he put out an album: " The best of Floyd Kramer" and K-Tel put out "The B-sides of Floyd Kramer".... it was the same songs

Floyd Kramer,,,,,,,,,LOL. I'm pretty sure there's a box of my old 8-tracks from back in high school, in my dad's basement yet. ABBA, KISS, Boston, and who knows what else. I'll have to try and remember to look next time I'm over there. Last vehicle I had with an 8-track was my '70 Barracuda Gran Coupe which I sold (kick, kick, kick) in 1985.

I bought an 8-track machine in 1971, and CCR was the tape of choice. I played the chit out of that tape for 4 years, then yanked the player and sold the car. I think that machine and a big old box of tapes are still up in the attic somewhere.....

I was thinking back and I'm sure I've also got some Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, AC/DC and similar stuff on 8-track. Who knows if the tapes would even work anymore.
Oldiron, I'm that old too. Have had some on 8-track, then cassette, then CD and then,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well, that's it. Have nothing to download a song onto (other than this 'puter) and haven't bought a CD in 15 years probably. Come to think of it, there's a whole box of cassettes in the closet upstairs. Tried one in my '96 Dakota when I bought it in '98 and it sounded like crap. To think, there was a time we thought they sounded just fine, lol!

Slant6Billy...it'd be fun to hang out with you! We'd get along great! Loved the video. My T&C still rocks the 8 track.

Anybody is welcome at Gator's mopar Swamp Garage- just expect to get dirty, so wear old clothes. I'm going to start robbing the Goodwill box for my weekend wardrobe. Some might say my dresser in my bedroom was once a donation box (couldn't get the 800 number scratched off). We are Junk'n almost every weekend and it is never a bad day Junk'n. Our antics will be unleashed as usual at Carlisle 12-15 July.
