Divorced transfer case? There all over Craigslist and ebay from about $100 on up for a complete BB trans or an empty case.

Sorry to head that. Wonder if you could buy it back from the JY? I love them '72+ and the 60's sweptline bodies. My though was to drop a body on a later model chassis. All the cool, and modern comfort and convenient, none of the abuse.

I assume the projects at a stand still now. But I looked at my RV BB transmission last night after reading your post. It has a really short, like 12" tail housing. If your going 4x4 this might be a good option.

We have crossed wires somehow. I no longer have a project truck. I bought the truck for the 440BB that was in it. Along the way I thought about restoring it. I changed my mind and parted it out. The 727 trans in it is a heavy duty unit and is great for high horsepower cars. I just needed a car tail shaft and housing for it. It is going in my 1967 Dodge Coronet project car, The Yankee Express.

I don't think this would work under a car as it is. It has a big thick 3" ring and a 1/2 thick x 2 x 3 inch block with a 1" hole maybe? hole for hanging the back of the transmission from above I assume. I wasn't sure what you plan was. Just thought Id mention theres a short option.

He just needs a output shaft and output shaft housing and a complete overhaul to install parts.

Right. I have a shaft and housing coming from another member. The trans is upside down on my work bench and will come apart after I finish with the carb and cleaning pistons, rods, rocker assemblies.

Yeah but you have to hang on to everything till a buyer wants to part with " good money". Needed the truck out of my hair.
