Spot the F bodies? Good thing the one on the end has a badonkadonk (big butt) and sets higher. I'm making fun of my own car. I think the F body area grew unintentionally HAHAHA

At least there is an F-body section vs A, B, E and "other".
Yeah, funny thing about that sign for the F body section. The wind caught it and blew it west about 5 or 6 spots HAHAHA on Wednesday or Thursday.

I really wish I could be one of the f-bodies in the row but the chances of it ever happening are less than slim to none. Something about the 1,900 mile round trip at 10 mpg on premium plus octane booster, getting through Chicagoland there and back, weather concerns, etc..........
Last time I was to the Chicago area a few years ago, I swore I would NEVER go through that again, ever. An hour to go 2 miles on I-90 coming out of the NW suburbs from Audi school when I worked at the Audi dealer here (it was like that every single time I was there), almost 4 hours and all my nervous system from the downtown Chicago lake shore to the Jeep plant in Belvidere IL (about 70 miles),,,,,,,,,,,,,not enough money in the world to go through that another time, no bleeping way, but I digress.

I trust it was a good time at Carlisle!

I drove truck for a few years and going to Chicago was at least a weekly thing. Once I delivered to a place down town and was told there was parking if I got there in the middle of the night. Well I got there at there at midnight out of hours and the only place I saw to park was the sidewalk, so that's what I did. There was just enough room to walk around the truck . Much to my surprise it wasn't a problem in fact there was a cop car behind the trailer scoping the four lanes of traffic when I woke up.

That's what trailers are for! I'm in Winnipeg...we'll convoy! I've never been to Carlisle either.

Billy, Still wasn`t enough room for all the F bodies on Saturday. I had to park across the isle with the C bodies.

79, You need to make it a bucket list item and do it a least one time. You won`t be disappointed. There was a member from another site that is from Chicago and he said there another route that could be taken and not have to go thru that crap.

I know a route to mostly get around Chicago but it adds quite a few miles to the trip. Although, it probably saves quite a lot of time too.
Other option would be go east to Lake Michigan and take the ferry across, then down through Michigan, etc.....
No matter what, the chances are still slim to none I'll ever be able to make it.
Every time I get frustrated with the traffic here, all I have to do is think of Chicago and our traffic suddenly seems like nothing. I suppose, difference between a metro area with about 110,000 here vs Chicagoland with what, 5 million or something like that?

Out of curiosity, I turned on 890 WLS-AM (it comes in with the right weather conditions) out of Chicago and heard the traffic report at 5pm on the way home from work and things like "45 minutes from Lake-Cook to the junction, 1 1/2 hours Lake-Cook to O'Hare............................Not to mention the closed road here because of a shooting, another area barricaded off for a "Police action" with shots fired and a 2 hour delay on one of the freeways due to another shooting with at least one fatality and multiple injuries.....................No bleeping thank you!, lol

Still, never say never. I may make it to Carlisle someday. Only time will tell.

You should try to make it to Mopars in the Park in MN. A lot closer and not as congested with traffic like Chicago.

That one might be a better chance of getting to, being only about 200 miles or so. Last time the car made a trip more than 15 or 20 miles from home was in '96 and the Car Craft Summer Cruise in St. Paul. The one that my trans fried and I lost 3rd gear and half lost reverse, on the trip back home.:(
