Can anyone give me a header recommendation? Factory one have a warp and at this point moving to the 2bbl. Hopefully will be my daily driver.

I'd be interested in this also. I really like OY's original Super Six, but I have thought about beefing it up a bit with headers. Particularly after I saw and heard this '75 Dart Sport on this YouTube video. Looks and sounds great with the headers and duel exhausts. Check out the low rumble about 5:10 or so.

If the 2bbl is the only mod, I would recommend a stock exhaust manifold, with a 2 1/4 inch exhaust pipe, for a DD.

Never played with the /6. I just bought a car with all the creature comforts and this will be a quasi daily driver. The carb needs a rebuild and I have all the parts for the switch, including a brand new carb. I've read a few articles about the /6, the Super 6 and the issues with the exhaust manifolds, albeit small ones. I hate projects that take too long looking for little parts or re engineering factory stuff. I leave all that to my race cars. If the exhaust manifold needs nothing when doing the swap, then I can just do the swap. Thought that I might get a little spacing with headers to shield the intake from the heat, especially during the summer. Easiest route for me on this one.

Actually, for a daily driver, you would be better off with the stock exhaust manifold, and a properly working heat riser. Cheaper, also.
PS: There is no difference between the 1 bbl and 2 bbl exhaust manifolds. The difference was the larger exhaust pipe with the 2bbl.

If auto trans, do you have the kickdown linkage?

Are you agreeing , or disagreeing with me?
Disagreeing, I once put a set of headers on a 200" Ford six, what a pleasure!:) The sound alone adds a certain amount of fun factor as you can here in the Dart video.

Hey, I have run headers on 170 slants, but the were built engines. For performance on a stock slant (super six is stock), headers MIGHT give a couple of HP over the stock manifold with a larger pipe, but in my opinion, not worth the cost (approx 300-500 dollars).
You should have heard the sound of my 170 Barracuda. Clifford shorty headers, into twin 2 1/2 inch pipes, into twin glass packs, and twin 2 1/2 inch outlets in front of the drivers rear wheel. But the engine was far from stock. Car would run low 13.'s at 3200 lbs

Worth is all relative to what you like, personally I wouldn't bother hotroding a six. But I'm not going to tell someone else not to.

Clifford Performance could make your slant six dreams come true.
Humm. Tell me more. I have been thinking about what I might want to do (or have done) to OY's Super Six to give it a bit more umph. Nothing drastic, just a mild upgrade to give it a bit more horsepower and responsiveness. The headers would almost be worth it just for the improved sound of the exhaust.

Mopar

Lots of goodies here for the leaning tower. I have a friend who’s into ford six cylinders and he’s bought some stuff from them and has been very happy.

Clifford does have the most affordable headers and intake for the slant six, and they are good pieces. My advise when dealing with them, is call and ask if the item is in stock and ready to ship. Then pay with a credit card. Allow a reasonable time for delivery. If you don't receive it on time, call them back and question why you have not received it. If you get a runaround or bunch of excuses, call your credit card company, and put the amount in dispute.
A word of caution about their intake. It will not work with a stock exhaust manifold, you must use headers. I think it might also work with Dutra Duals, but don't know for sure.

I have some questions;
A stock slanty was about 145crank hp in 1969 right?, later converted to 90Net in the low-compression smog era. Right so far?
OK so;
adding a 2 bbl to the stocker might make a couple of hp at the topend right? so by itself is pretty useless.
adding a freeflow exhaust is the biggest deal with the slanty, giving it a couple to a few ponies starting somewhere around 3000 right,,,,,,,, which is ~33 mph with 2.76s. and a few footpounds along the way.
Adding headers to the stock engine might get you ~10% at peak power, say 3600/42mph again with 2.76s....... and 10% is what again, hyup 9hp..... at 40 mph, and a few footpounds on the way there.
But if you combine the headers and the free-flowing pipes and the 2bbl..... what might you expect? I'm guessing 12hp at 3800/42mph. and how much are you gonna spend on that?

And more importantly; how much performance can you expect, in the area most guys are looking for an increase, namely; off the line and at low-rpm? My guess is ; as good as nothing.
If you want it off the line, forget all that stuff and put a bigger TC in there followed by some bigger gears.

3.55s will put down 28.6% more power right off the line and bring your power peak down to 32mph versus 40. Say your slanty is putting out 100ftlbs(Net) at 1750 the factory stall. After going thru the trans and rear end, and correcting for 25.5" tires to a 12"radius, she would be putting , to the pavement,636 smoking-hot footpounds.
And 3.55s would get her 818. Sweet eh? 818/636= plus 28.6%
To equal that with all the current stuff, the engine would have to put out the same 818 to the pavement with the 2.76s, which would be 100ftlbs x 1.286=128.6 ftlbs(Net) at 1750rpm; good luck with that. You can't do it with the headers and 2bbl. Maybe not even with high compression. You'd probably need to supercharge it
I picked 100ftlbs for ease of math. It doesn't make any difference what numbers I choose because I worked the math as percents.
What about the TC? well at 1750rpm, 100 ft lbs is 33hp. I put 2800s in my slantys; so at 2800 the slanty doesn't make a whole lot more torque. Lets use the same 100ftlbs and we get 53 hp@2800. So
The stocker at 33hp and 2.76s puts down the equivalent of 210hp to the ground.
The stocker with a 2800 and 3.55s puts down the equivalent of 434hp.......... that would be 207%.......... still with 1bbl and single exhaust............ What's the buy-in on that? Well, yur gonna need a suregrip-3.55 and I see one for sale right now on FABO. IIRC;MoparOfficial has it listed.
Two hundred and seven per cent on the start-line, right where the slanty needs it. Then plus 28.6% throughout the rpm range, beginning around 24 mph, and continuing until you shift. And still with the factory 1bbl and horrible exhaust.
So my final question is....... is the earth really a ball?
No-no, I mean what gears do you currently have? If not 2.76s, then the exact same results will be had by adding 28.6% to whatever you do have.

Or you could do both.......
Or you could do a two barrel carb headers 999 trans with the low first gear and axle gears and have something fun to drive.
I personally have warm spot for the sound of a strait six with true duals.
