At this moment i am clueless as to where even to start... Napa is likely not a source, Nor Mopar.. Are there specialist's that cover all the aged rubber parts?

Right now I am wanting a gas tank grommet?

Driver and passenger door window seals would be really nice as My carpet got wet in the past and it needs to be removed and (hopefully) cleaned to get the mildew smell out..

Front and rear windshield gaskets? That would hopefully solve the water issue

filler neck grommet should still be available from mopar. 4002010 is most likely the one for your car

Front and rear windshields are glued in with urethane, no rubber gaskets. As far as door and roofrail seals,,,,,,,,,,,no idea. They make them for F-body, of questionable quality though (meaning they aren't really that good).

Ok that is good news... sort of. My water issue must be coming through the window seals...

It is pretty clean... underneath. I doubt it has been driven in the winter much if at all. The rear left trunk-quarter panel seam has some rust due to water from the inside I am guessing. One hole right there as well, but there is still paint on the undercarriage, and Penstar logo's stuck in various places. The center of the rear differential has one, and I noticed one somewhere else but am not remembering at this moment where I saw it..

THAT in no way means there is not a hole in the firewall, or maybe the heater box? I need to rebuild the wiper system, so I will investigate.

Do you have the factory seam filler tape over the A-pillar/cowl/firewall in the front door jams like the F and M bodies do? Sometimes that stuff dries out, cracks, and the water slips in to the footwell. I've had to chip it all out and replaced it with a good RTV before.

I will go investigate, and see what the condition of the present filler is. I have been avoiding getting it wet in the desire to have the interior dry out.. but once it is dry, maybe a trip to the car wash will be informative?

Could be. Just remember the water moves differently when you're driving down the road vs sitting still. Trying to simulate the right angles and pressures is sometimes rough.

It could still be a leaky windshield, among other things. The urethane tends to deteriorate after many years and sometimes, it can lose the bond with the glass or metal, and start to leak.
The best way I know to verify one way or the other is, close the windows and run the blower fan on high speed to pressurize the interior. Mix a spray bottle with liquid Dawn and water, and spray it around the edges of the glass. If it leaks, there will be bubbles.

F-bodies are known for the cowl rusting through where the HVAC air intake is, and I would assume J-body is no different. It could be just small pinholes, it could be worse, or hopefully, it's neither!

Genius idea regarding the blower motor!! will also inspect the HVAC intake area, needing to do some work to get the wiper system working again anyway. Good opportunity to investigate it all.

Contact a GOOD automotive glass guy. Mine had all the stuff when I did my Matador, about a year ago and it was just by the foot. It wasn't expensive. I showed him the old stuff and he had it in six or eight foot lengths. The only stuff he didn't have was for the inside trunk lip but I was able to find that elsewhere

Another great tip based upon experience. I will go looking....

Although that may be as easy as finding a GOOD radiator guy... knowing that you were successful will maintain optimism in the face of temporary defeat.

Thank you,
J

I would have NEVER asked him. I was actually complaining about the stuff I couldn't locate while he was doing a windshield in my wife's car. He told me to bring the old pieces by his shop and match them up. Also, never hesitate to ask upholstery guys. They won't have it but the old timers know A LOT of people and can often give you names and numbers.

sounds like a great idea... Going to have to search a bit to find an upholstery guy, but maybe a trip to the local car show will be a good beginning. I am not a car show guy, but it may be good for the networking aspect.

Thanks again!
J
