i do plan on upgrading the front sway eventually. just working with in my means at this point. so should i upgrade front/add rear at the next step? and yes the whole 8.25 axle flange to flange, less the brakes that reusing. thanks guys for all the input.

i am going to start the 8 3/4 swap on my 83 Cordoba now that the weather is starting to break. i have a 67 b body housing that needs prepping, new spring perches and a center section. the plan on a complete iso delete, b body shock plates and shocks. so if i'm essentially back dating the rear...
ok, will do. i consider it a warm-up. i have to do a 742 with new gears, bearings, and sure grip rebuild. for the price of the kit i won't fell right not cracking the case open to check the clutches.
for a winter project i picked up an 8 3/4 clutch type sure grip unit off of craigslist. given the unknown origin i wanted to give it a complete rebuild. when i got it apart the clutches and plates had HEAVY galling. However all the other parts looked good. a trip the the parts washer confirmed...
that is a good question. my plan was to use a k-car brake booster and aluminum master combo. after doing some rock auto part research, the port sizes on a k-car master are 3/8 x 24 on both ports, where as looking at a 83 cordoba, the ports are primary, 1/2 x 20 and the secondary are 9/16 x 20...
