how do people run SS springs? there was a MP front spring hanger, discontinued, Mancini sells one, but it is for E body springs with 22 front segments.

the SS springs all use the A body pattern 20inch front segments

The way it was done back in the day was to use the main leaf of a stock leaf spring and then use the bundle from the SS springs and then clamp the front leaves together..
However I would fabricate or modify the Ebody hangers for the length needed.
But now days I would use Calvert Racing springs and Caltrack bars but would use the Ebody length and hangers.

Long ago I mocked up a set of A body springs (these)... no way any way were these a good option. I might have a pic of these on the car with boxes, the whole afternoon they were on. These would of been im my dumpster long ago if they were not so heavy. Might be good springs for towing a small RV though.

The Mancini front hangers combined with "G Body" springs fit my Aspen perfectly with no mods. I have replaced the 8 1/4 " rear axle with an 8 3/4" and eliminated the rubber iso suspension but I don't believe the distances were effected. This advice came from "Professor Fate " from here and was very helpful. Oops , my mistake. The springs were "E Body". Sorry. Part numbers as follows : AR110 Mancini front hangers. AR 107 front spacers , and SUM708221 Summit "E Body" springs.

Hey Dave!

The Mancini front hangers combined with "G Body" springs fit my Aspen perfectly with no mods. I have replaced the 8 1/4 " rear axle with an 8 3/4" and eliminated the rubber iso suspension but I don't believe the distances were effected...

I went looking through some of your posts to see if I can spot something that shows the 'posture' of the car you ended up with...but came up somewhat empty-handed.

Would you be so kind as to toss a nice side/diagonal view into the thread here?

I ask b/c I do not like the height of my rear-end, it's about 1" too high, but given that the whole suspension is all 'new pieces' I'm thinking of just getting the main leaf re-arched, so I'd like to compare some chassis views for better measure.

For what it's worth, on my Coupe the distance between the floor and the lower lip of the rear fender at wheel center (with full tank and my 275/60-R15 Nittos at 18 psi) I am reading: 74.5cm, while the front reads 69cm (for reference).

I've attached a profile pic my son took during a 2018 photo shoot... I have different Centerline rims on the rear now that have more backspace so that tire 'tucks-in' nicer now.

Always love sharing pictures with other members. Haven't measured the fender heights , but as soon as it's off the jack stands I'll be happy to if you need.

Although I never care what people do to there own cars if your going for the handling side of things the 414 spring is the one to have. Do you have a pic of how your extension boxes were placed on your car? Especially in relationship to the floor pan seam shown in this first pic. You see my boxes go a bit more then an inch past. I do have an extra set of these boxes if you still have the 414 springs.

With the 414 spring being a zero arch spring it has that one thing all the other springs do not offer.

Not too concerned with ride or handling right now as the hope is to duplicate "old school " street car stuff like the 70's. Guess that dates me a bit, but at my age both may still become an issue ! LOL!! The Right hanger is in the pictures as well as the clearance notch in the gusset. As I said in an old post, the right side clearance notch requires some caution due to the fuel line location.
