    Saturday Night Special Aspen Pro-Touring

Pulled the trigger on an engine and transmission for the project. It's a 2010 5.7 with a 6spd manual drop out from a Challenger R/T. 58,000 miles on the combo. Now I need to get my fab on.

    Saturday Night Special Aspen Pro-Touring

Here are some random pictures of tear down: A couple of both in the shop. Here some more detailed pics of the chassis: I started to cut out some of the cage for door opening access and to allow more passenger room. Now after doing that, I started taking measurements. The original...

    Saturday Night Special Aspen Pro-Touring

The car looks good in pictures but it's not clean by a long shot. While most of the body is rust free, the firewall and the front floors are shot, the drivers door needs a patch and there's rust under lead seam where the roof skin meets the quarter. Saturday Night Special Aspen Pro-Touring

I'm building a 79 Aspen Coupe as a Pro-Touring car that pays tribute to the Chrysler Kit Car short track stock cars from the 70's. I'm taking the frame from a Laughlin Cup / ARCA / BGN chassis and will be installing it in place of the factory frame. I'm on the hunt for a GenIII Hemi to power it...

Hey all! Gonna go autocrossing with an Aspen.

BHA43, Dude, both of those are killer finds! I contacted you recently about some of your reproduction spoilers and window louvers for my project. I'll be contacting you soon to place the order.

    Solid cradle "Pucks"

I don't know why the part number is burned into my memory but the Chrysler P/N for the iron isolator pucks is 4419942. They went NS1 in the early 2000's. Might be worth scrounging E-bay and doing a google search to see if there's a set or two floating around out there.

Hey all! Gonna go autocrossing with an Aspen.

Hey all! Name's Dave and I'm a lifelong Mopar freak as well as an F-Body owner. I have a 1979 Dodge Aspen with the R/T appearance pkg. It is a /6 car but when I bought it, it had a warmed over early 80's 318 / 727 TF combo with an 8&3/4 stuffed with 4.10's. It was being turned into a bracket...
