    Driveshaft Purchase Place 8.75/904

Thanks all, that's where I've gone before local truck / driveline shop. Guess I'll be going back. I honestly was trying to be a bit economical shall we say aa I'll probably go back to the 727 when I get it rebuilt.

    Driveshaft Purchase Place 8.75/904

Where are people buying custom driveshafts, local or online, and if online where? I had a 727 giving me issues so swapped in a 904 I had around and obviously need a new longer driveshaft. It is a fairly mild built 360 bracket car, I'd buy someone else's if they've upgraded. TIA

    Iso-delete Options

Got tools? Like welder, drill or drill press, saw, steel? Make them, I cut up the plates, welded new centers in, added reinforcements to keep from bending, ordered new longer u-bolts and did it myself, bunch of time, engineering, tools, and you can make it. Part of the reason I did it was to...

FOR SALE '79 Aspen - old drag car

Can't let other people rule or run your life used to get upset over stuff in the end that don't mean squat, you've actually helped these people even with the comments as exposure typically brings interest. If people really think a bit about the cost of stuff they could realize this could be...

FOR SALE '79 Aspen - old drag car

Unless you are buying some high dollar restoration or "barn find" there is a level of hack to everything. Someone calls the guy that took a big block 383 and swapped in a hemi a hack. Money and looks doesn't mean it isn't hacked, take the car for what it is the people selling it obviously...

SOLD NOS mint 79 Volare grille

Unfortunately not many options here and likely very few NOS around and 40 year old used stuff out in the elements is usually broken or brittle so not surprising it is up there in price.

FOR SALE 76 Volare for Sale WA State

They have a bad enough time rusting without sitting on the dirt / grass like that, wouldn't expect the bottom to be in great shape but who knows. On the plus side grill looks to be in one piece.

    Bullhead connector pinout 78 Volare

Ok, I tried the link that was in the stickies above but the links or pictures don't seem to work. I've figured out most of my project wiring but does anyone have a bulkhead connector picture pinout for a 1978 Dodge Aspen assuming 1976-1978 or 1979 match. Tired of searching and thought I'd ask...

    Kwik-Lift -- anybody used one?

Everything is choice and a give and take, if it fills thaw need now and serves what you need to get you 2-3 years then buy It use it and maybe resell later. Gotta go with what your current situation allows, which isn't always the end choice.

    Kwik-Lift -- anybody used one?

I chose a 4 post because it is essentially free standing, and I honestly like the stability of the vehicle on it, a 2 post requires the proper mounting base design in the concrete, I have actually rolled my 4 post out when I had to get a trailer in my shop. But again, what do you have for...

    Kwik-Lift -- anybody used one?

Honestly if I'm going to have a lift I want it to really raise the vehicle, I started having back issues from working off the floor. I kept my eyes open and ended up buying a privately owned 4 post lift for a reasonable price, but you need ceiling height. So don't rule out a used loft 2 or 4...

    Brake Proportioning

I saw that however wasn't sure if the connection of how that made it grab, some people have the misconception that because brake fluid is slippery in nature that it reduces braking not make them grab like crazy, that's all just clarifying.

    Brake Proportioning

On a lazy Sunday I finally read all this and have a couple thoughts, pardon if mentioned or don't apply, but there are a couple things I could add, you said one of the wheel cylinders leaked but don't think I saw brake shoes replaced, if brake fluid contaminates the shoes they will grab like...

Ran out of battery last night so here are the trimmed up pieces going in ( I have now realized that that this is all because they had a big block and the Schumacher mounts to work need to rework the k member)

    Fixing someone’s handy work

Never fails I start on something and it gets way more complicated. Car had a big block in it and guessing they didn’t like the way it sat and stuff was in the way so let the hacking begin. Figured oh well I got an old v-8 k-member our back I’ll swap it. Well MY road salt and time are that...
