    SOLD Plymouth Street Kit Car

I took the Craigslist ad down and have it listed on the Bringatrailer.com auction 1978 Plymouth Volare w/Street Kit Car Package

    SOLD Plymouth Street Kit Car

I'm feeling the need for a B-Body so I have to make room in the garage, therefore the Kit Car is up for sale. It sure would be nice to break even, but I know that ain't gonna happen with an F-Body! At any rate, the Craigslist ad is here: 1978 Plymouth Street Kit Car I'm asking what I have in...

    Holley Street Demon Carbs

I use the old adage, CID x 2 = CFM. Seems to work, my stroker LA is 426" x 2 = 850 CFM, and I run a Thunder AVS @ 800 CFM. I'm probably a little low on that one. Then again, on the Kit Car E58, I have the Street Demon @ 750 CFM, and I think it's over-carbed. Oh well, maybe someday I'll make...

    Update, New FBody Possibly Coming.

That's odd. I brought mine over in 2013 at Emerson, ND or Manitoba. Maybe you asked the wrong guys - did you talk to Americans or Canadians? It's very difficult to take a car from US to Canada, but rather easy to go from Canada to the US. I have not read the form in a long time, it may be...

    Update, New FBody Possibly Coming.

By the way, it's really easy to import a car from Canada to the US. I did it with my fully restored Canadian '74 Cuda. As long as you do it yourself, it takes about 5 minutes (for cars older than 25 years). It doesn't even cost money. The guys didn't even look at it. I could've filled my...

MSD ignition conversion on my '88 5th Ave

I just installed the Lokar cable on my Kit Car. An excellent addition. I can open the back barrels all the way now! I also did the Lokar trans kick-down cable, but that caused a comedy of problems. I thought I overspun a tail piece bolt and stripped it, but miraculously it tightened up...

    De-lean burning

I ended up mounting my coil on the firewall since the Weiand intake has no mounting hole.

    De-lean burning

If you go with a Pertronix, make sure you buy a spare ignition module. They last about 2 years max...ask me how I know! We have one in the wife's '71 Challenger. Research the various forums, the life span is no different for Ford and Chevy. I went with the Rev-n-Nator with Firecore...

    Rubber Floor Panel Plugs

I ended up going with the ones from Justmopar.com and they work fine. The only problem is that I need some 2-1/4" ones (2 in the trunk & 2 in the rear seat footwell) and everybody has either 2" or 2-1/2". I just cleaned up the old ones and used them.

    1978 Chasis Manual in PDF?

Amazon.com: Buying Choices: 1978 Chrysler Plymouth Dodge Chassis-Body Service Manual I know this is for compact cars, but keep checking Amazon. The F-body stuff shows up from time to time...at giveaway prices.

    NEW BRAKE LINES

It's best to phone them. They'll dig through their archives to come up with what you need.

    1978 Chasis Manual in PDF?

FYI - I bought a 1978 Chassis manual off of Amazon for $1.99 used. It came out of a library and in perfect condition. It's worth looking!

    NEW BRAKE LINES

I got a full set front to back for a '78 Volare from Inline Tube, so the patterns do exist. By the way, it was only $15-20 more for Stainless Steel!

    Rubber Floor Panel Plugs

Thanks - it's probably cheaper going with a whole kit versus buying piecemeal.

    Rubber Floor Panel Plugs

I know this is an old one, but I just ripped the carpet out and am handling some surface rust. I got impatient and tore up half of my grommet plugs. Did you(or anyone else for that matter) find rubber ones?

    Birthday present from the wife

Thanks. It's not too bad to fold up. It comes with its own large bag made of the same material. It's rather useful if you're doing more than changing the oil.

Z06 Corvette and before you bag me!

Sorry, I should have been more clear that this was a rhetorical question. I know what the engineers said, but having one and feeling the heft, it's no track car. I'd like to see one run at the track all day without overheating and experiencing brake fade, while weighing 4400-4600 lbs. it...

Z06 Corvette and before you bag me!

Well, all day is a stretch. As I recall, they said it could easily handle a 20 minute stint on a road course. But, remember it will go through a tank of gas in 15 minutes at WOT!! My question is, how does NASCAR get 850HP out of a relatively small engine, naturally aspirated, that lasts for a...

    Spectre Fuel Filter Leak'n

I picked up one of those clear Spectre filters at Autozone and the car would not start without spraying Brakeclean in the carb. I swapped it out with a Wix and it starts perfectly now, therefore the Spectre is a POS and a waste of $$.

Best Deal on a 408 Stroker Kit - any ideas?

I really like my Hughes stroked 360 (426 cid) in my '74 Cuda. With Indy/Edelbrock heads, it made 520#-ft of torque on the Dyno. It's fun as hell on the street - it's controllable with Drag Radials, otherwise a pedal fest.

    Hemi RT aspen Wagon

The R/T Garage, home of the Rev-n-nator, has these "emissions" decals. I have one, but can't figure out where to put it as the radiator support is too narrow.

    De-lean burning

There's something much extra wiring that's not needed now. The photo was when I had everything pulled out of the way. I started it this afternoon. Now I'm cleaning up all of this extra wiring and going crazy with the zip ties and electrical tape. One major problem is that the coil rubs...

    De-lean burning

Slowly, but surely, I'm getting there. I hope to have it fired up this weekend. One note, if you go with Rev-N-Nator, you have to buy a pigtail for the ECU.
