It's not an FMJ. It's an interesting sounding car and at least other then the hood scoopsnit was done in a way that still looks pretty stock.

I always find it funny how some people put higher prices on their car selling them then say it still needs smaller things like the speedo.

IT IS AN "M" BODY car! It needs a speedo cable, from trans-to speedo head. Mileage was not stated in the ad...

No it's a C body.

That's my point, for that price little things like the speedo cable should be there.

Crack pipe. For 14k I could buy 28 Diplomats for the price I paid for mine. So just think about it. Would you rather have one car for 14 grand or 28 $500 cars?

It's different and that's sometimes a good thing. Appears to have the cruise to speedo cable but maybe the trans to cruise servo cable is missing? He could at least fix that if he's asking $15K. The cable is like a whole $10 or so. Just saying. A person would also want to see the underside of the car also before making an offer.

From the sea body forum it was a white car until a couple years ago and was built by a member there who did a very good job of it but has been through a few owners since and is more questionable now. Definitely worth the read.

Looked on there, tried search. All I came up with was when it was white, filthy and the then owner was full of b.s. in the for sale ad (was a link to the Florida ad).

Back around 1987-1992 i had a C-body 65 Sport Fury rag top with a factory console and 4-speed. Always made people do a double take. Full size car with a manual trans is rare. Only drove it a few times and decided I wasn't a rag top type of person and sold it back to the guy I bought it from. He'd had seller's remorse since day one, lol. Far from being a mint car, it needed a lot of work. Not too much rust for a Wisconsin car but to redo the interior, bumpers, trim, engine, etc would have been WAY more than I could afford at the time. Plus back then, zero repop parts.

The 2nd biggest problem for me after the price is the paint and the new rag top. Rag tops are ok until they're not. Who knows what kind of rot is hidden by the rag top and paint. And that paint job just looks off. The slightly out of focus shots scream orange peel

I saw this car at a dealer in FL (on Rt 98, somewhere around Gainesville area) maybe 8 years ago when it was white. It was cool, and seemed very solid at the time, though I'd probably do without the scoops too. If I was looking to spend $12-14K on a toy, this wouldn't be it, but our differences are what makes the world go around.

If the seller actually claims those wheels are Centerlines, watch out for whatever he is mistaken or lying about.

Car has been passed around like a whore. Was built as mentioned by a FCBO member. I think everyone who bought it thinks it's cool and adds or subtracts things then wants more for it when they sell it. The paint job is the latest, it was white previously and very tired paint at that.
IMHO I would buy it at 6-7k, not 14k I could build one with a few changes for less than I could buy that one, I said that in a thread over on FCBO when it was only 10k.
Me personally I gotta agree with @AMC Diplomat, I would buy a Dippy and put a 5.7 and a 5 speed in it and still have enough to have it painted. Better fuel mileage, better balance, better power to weight, only thing that NYB has going for it is the novelty and size, once that wears off you'll be selling it.
Just my opinion of course, it's still a cool car just not 14-15 k cool.

Neat. The hood scoops need to go. Some classy luxury styled wheels would be a big improvement too. If I loved it and wanted it bad, Id pay 10k and make the changes I mentioned. Its always worth what you are comfortable spending unless you want to make money or break even someday.
