1980 Volare Cop Car

yes, getting rid of the OEM garbage design. had some MP circle track springs, advertised as the OEM spring for the A43 cars. but they are 2 inches too short in the front segment. probably going to order a couple B body XHD springs
 
Maybe AR has the right length hanger.

I got my five leaf packs from John R Spring many moons ago. Be sure to match the front spring bushings to your caltracs. I ordered the wrong solid bushings when I ordered mine and had to buy them again.
 
the ARE adapter is what i got from mancini. says to use the 22 inch front segment E body spring
 
This whole extended spring hangers is not new, just the people who make them are. I think mopar offered 3 versions.

Here are two of the mopar types. Overall length I recall is like just under 7 3/4 of the ones I use on the 414 springs. But id have to measure to be really sure. Visually they are easy to tell apart.

081 no longer exist. thats why i bought the ones fro mancini. also confusing, states 2" longer, but it needs to be 4 inches longer to use SS springs. FMJ are 24 inch fronts.

looks like you had P4122279, no longer exist either
 
making progress. made new hangars, hung the springs and put weight on it. seems to be good. if someone can just peek under their car and see what the clearance is between the axle and frame loaded on your car would be great. i took pictures of mine but managed to lose them

before and after. just a test fit to see it i should send it. seems as though the car got a slight lift, which is what i wanted.

i took it all apart, welded, painted and now in the process of installing. need to wait for the nut-serts to arrive to hang the spring sliders
