Hello- My father has a couple of Mirada's for sale. An 82 light yellow/beige colored car with brown interior. No rust but the tail panel has cracked and deteriorated to the point of no return so it was removed. We still have the original bumper and There is a replacement fiberglass rear panel available for $330. if you pick it up in Chicago. He had planned to do that but freight shipping is ridiculously expensive. There are a few cracks on the door panels and one or two on the dash. The rest of the interior is nice. Slant 6 car with 71,000 actual miles. It runs and drives like a brand new car. Seriously, every slant 6 owner will tell you it runs like new but this is the best running pre-fuel injection car I have ever driven, hands-down. With no rust and the sun cracks in the interior and the rear panel, I have to think it's a desert car. He's asking $2995 for that one. Here's the link to the fiberglass rear: 80-84 Mirada Parts. Second is an 83 CMX Cabriolet hardtop 318 car with 97,000 Actual miles. New Mexico car all of it's life. Grey car with lighter grey leather interior. Still has the lean burn and the A/C still blows cold. Interior is pretty nice. Some creases in the leather but should clean up with a good detailer. Body has no rust & the rear panel is great but someone spray painted the hood, roof and trunk black. That spay paint is flaking off and I believe some good rubbing compound would take the rest off. Again, a really good detailer could do magic on this car, It runs and drives great as well and just drove the 1300 mile trip from New Mexico to Minnesota without skipping a beat. Asking $3650. for that one. Again, both of these cars are owned by my father and are located in central Minnesota. I believe both are original paint cars. Full disclosure, my father is a used car dealer & he specializes in vintage cars & trucks. No lie, he's invested in these for too much but he's had them too long and wants to sell. That's not a sales pitch and I'm not in the business. I'm just trying to help him out a little because he doesn't do the computer thing. He's gonna be 64 and I'm gonna be 41 within the next year. We ain't got time for all the B.S.!!!! All that being said, I know these cars a little and I would be willing to put down a hundy on a bet that either one would make the journey home anywhere within the continental US. I have no personal stake in these cars but I am just that confident.
