I would ask them for a picture of one...before laying any cash down...it would be neat if they could show you a set installed on a car...alot of companies these days don't provide pictures...if they did they would probably sell more parts...M2CThanks for the responses.
So they might fit good with a little reworking. But are they the only one reproducing them?
But are they the only one reproducing them?
See if they will shoot you a picture back...Just sent them an email. I'll see what happens.
throw down a couple of hundred for a mint set on eBay that will just fall apart in 3 years.
They got the pictures of their Chevy ones right on their homepage....screw them and look somewhere else...It takes me about two minutes to snap a pic and post it.....HA HA this is their sign they should be holding..:sign5:Just got a response back. This is what he said:
"We woild not have any reason to have the pictures you asked for-we do not
own such a vehicle, nor do we do installation here.
Thanks,
Ed "
I'm curious now how they make these parts. They needed to make a mold somehow, wouldn't you do that from a set of originals? I also asked for pictures of the parts by themselves and they don't have those available either?
MiradaMegacab is correct they don't know what customer service is.
How much did they charge you for them...remember what I said before....screw them and look somewhere elseWell the ones from replica plastics came in today. They look like they are cheaply made. It looks like they have a gel coat then one layer of fiber glass and that is it. I can hold them up to the light and the light will shine through. Plus one has a crack in it, probably from shipping they are brittle.
We will see how well they fit tomorrow. I will probably be adding some layers of fiberglass in some areas.
Do they have to be flexable or could they be rigid like aluminum? post some pics of them for our benefit to.$80 a piece. My Uncle has been looking for a while and haven't found anyone else making them. What I am going to do is modify and trim these to fit. Then make a mold from them and make my own.
