    OK cool. I`m not sure how important they are or if another type washer can be used instead. Just wanted to inform you.

    I don't either. I had a 77 Aspen R/T Super Pack I bought new and I had to take it in for them to installed. They did have the washers on them.

    They support the upper control arms and bolt to the pivot bars. The support plates were cracking. I believe it was used on 76 77 and some 78 F bodies.

    Mine doesn't have them, I'm going to be going over all the front end parts including frame and sub frame. Its had a few rough landings over the years.

    I put them on my '79 just for the heck of it. Can't hurt.

    They go from the upper control arm bracket bolts and over the shaft studs. Basically, they put the shaft bolts in double shear instead of single shear.

    Not the best picture for seeing them but the red arrow points at one of the braces.
