Just wanted to share some pictures and thoughts about the 2019 season. Only made it to two races but it's two more than 2018. Overall I was pleased with the performance of the car. Of course there's lots of room for improvement. On the first outing over the 4th of July weekend in Indianapolis let me say that the weather conditions were downright Hot! Temperature was in the low 90's and DA was hovering around 4000 feet. Best run for the weekend was 12.82 on the 13.00 index for N/SA. Not exactly earth shattering performance but did manage to make the 128 car field out of 131 stockers. 125th if memory serves me right. Anyway after a few delays on Saturday I saved my worst light for 1st round and was put on the trailer. Rats! Couldn't make 2 races that were on my calendar after that but did finally go to the Jeg's Sports Nationals at National Trail Raceway outside Columbus Ohio. My old stompin grounds where I first started bracket racing in 1974. My mom, brother and sister still live in the central Ohio area so it was also a family visit as well. Much better weather and the car went 12.68 on the first qualifying pass. Best run of the season. Class eliminations were run at this race on Saturday and I red lit in the 1st round. There were 4 N/SA cars and I was the slowest so I took a swing at the tree. Not to worry though as we still had the regular handicap dial in race on Sunday. Well...another sleepy light as I went .01 under my dial and my opponent was .02 over. Had a good time and will be back for 2020! Ended up talking to some old friends and made a few new ones. The drag racing community is the best!
