I wish id looked at this sooner, dam impressive. One question, whats the benefit of of people using the flex pipes like you did? Does it make it overall easier or whats the main function vs not using them. I ask because even the repop kits for the older muscle cars dont use them and I have never ever had a ex. failure that would point to the need so what am I missing or is just a personal preference?
Did you run the car to determine you needed the glasspacks vs just the muffs?
Many tell me I come across as harsh, I dont mean to if I do here. Im asking to learn vs any type of criticism on my mind.
The flex pipes are to allow some movement between the headers and the exhaust. It supposed to help prevent hardware loosening, cracking, and flange gasket failure. Stock exhaust on older cars have enough movement to prevent problems. I added them more as a precaution than anything.
I added the glass packs to prevent droning at highway speeds, and partially because I was told I couldn't fit anything back there.
