I have finally got my computer situation back under control and my emotions are starting to even out.

Don't worry you have not missed out on my putting a new fuel pump in the Chrysler. (Like you were worried about that.)

I've got more (too many) auto projects now ... I know, big surprise there more info coming once I get some sleep.

But on the other front, I will know by Thursday afternoon if my first attempt to reline a tractor diesel fuel tank has been successful.

I did drop in on Brian (DarthCar) up in Ohio when I went to my nephew's wedding. I was an awfully emotional, sad lady at the wedding in June. July was a little better and then we hit August and I'm no longer in the weeds. Still a bit of a roller coaster but its the short, mini one not the humongous giant one.

DarthCar and his seeing eye dog (new best friend) Benny are doing well. Darthcar's eyesore is still declining. Bummer.

This weekend, finally, the used rv is coming to my land and my brother is going to be moving out of my guest bedroom into his own place once we get it set up ... water connected ... electric ... and him moved out. Which really. means, I'll be able to start working on the downstairs walls and finish up my house before winter.... finally... after 7 years. Who knew?

I finally started the paperwork on the LeBaron and have two more tasks (hoops) before the Mighty State of Texas will grant me the opportunity to get a bonded title. Maybe by October sometime?

I am 2 days into the 4 days it takes to let the reline material setup in the tractor diesel fuel tank. So by Thursday I can put it back in the tractor and see if all my work has paid off.

I just had to put 2 new front tires on the everyday Ford Explorer and the night before I took it in, I managed to hit not 1 but 3 feral hogs cause like an idiot I was out driving at night trying to get home from a friend's house and coming over a hill there was a pack of hogs (over 20 but probably less than 35), all juveniles (shorter than knee height), headed north in the southbound lane.

I was headed south. So I quickly swerved to the northbound lane (still headed south), and darned if 3 idiot hogs were talking directly to God and decided to run toward the light (my headlights). The rest of the pack followed. I killed one as I ran over him, two more were wounded bad enough that coyotes took them down a few hours later in the bar ditch, and the rest of pack scattered. That was a year $950 damage (took out the radiator, ac condenser, engine shutters & motor for same, mucked up the front lower facia and air dam. Just a mess.

And you also missed the water leak down at the trust which occurred a week earlier. I've been digging the line about 2 to 3 hours a day for a week and after getting down 34 inches and still not at the leak, I gave in and called trained professionals. Two young guys about 20 years old and 6 hours later of digging and draining water, they were down 4 foot and excavated another 2 foot in diameter till they found all 4 problems : 1. cap at end of line failed or was never glued in (water leak); 2. shut off valve (commercial big a$$ thing) handle was gone; 3. thin wall pvc was used instead of schedule 40; 4. and the best of all they used a pressure coupling (o-rings at either end of pvc coupling on a 2 inch water line coming off a 4 inch mainline-- no glue/ no threads just 2 o-rings to hold all that pressure. And another $900 disappears.

Then the very next day, at the trust, the ac quits cooling at the house. Ugh. So go through the weekend with hot hot hot and on Monday morning the ac guy comes and $230 later with new capacitor installed and filters changed and rat poison bait in the attic, I have cool air again.

Did you notice there was absolutely no activity on my Chrysler in the past two weeks???????

I need a new project list.
Or maybe I need to re-order the projects on my current list.

But basically, I MISSED YOU GUYS!!

Yess, you're back and we missed you, too.

Hopefully situations are now getting better, after all that turmoil. And I'd think that's a rather harsh underrepresentation...

And today I spent four hours weed eating around all the tractors and farm implements.
Have two good friends of the family coming this weekend to take things away and sell them or buy them for their use.

I don't need 2 14 foot shredders and a 20 ft shredder. Seriously, why do I have 3 big shredders and they all work?

I have 7 tractors... por que? Two at the trust, two at my place and sell the other 3.

I'm thinking that once I get the new fuel pump in the 5th avenue, I'll let it go as well. Just keep the LeBaron. Its got 40k original miles but I think I look much better riding in a 2 door LeBaron and it does have that highly sought after 8-TRACK TAPE ... lmao

The state of Texas and I are in a paper contest. I found one of the gooseneck trailers still in my dad's name. Its taking 16 sheets of paper to get started moving it to my name. I'm not even sure the local tax office is giving me correct advice, but I'm halfway through the process at this point... all for a gooseneck trailer.

I can't wait to get past this weekend and on to more auto adventures in August/September.

Well ... I'm thinking no one should be using me as an example for quality time management.... bwa hahahahaha

Chrysler is still waiting for attention... WHAT A BIG SURPRISE!!!!

But I have done a few other things.

1. Sweat
What is it with the weather pattern this year??? All we had was the heat and none of the clouds or rain. Of course, taking an entire month to wander up to Illinois over to Ohio back to Illinois back over east to Tennessee and then home means I was seriously affected by the temperature change from Texas in May vs Texas in July.

2. International Harvester 1086 Tractor and 20 foot batwing shredder
No one did any maintenance on this baby while I was caring for my husband these past few years.
Large rear tire in back was dead flat. Front small tire was flat. All 3 belts were beyond saving. Both batteries were dead. Batwings would go up on the shredder but the driver side would not got down. All 3 of the gearboxes neede TLC... It was like goldilocks -- one gear box didn't have enough oil, one gear box had too much oil, and the last gear box had the right amount of fluid but it looked like tan milk -- water in the gearbox with the oil is not fun to empty.
Its now working again, and shredding but the batwing needs some TLC under the center cylinder. I sure wish I was better at welding. 'Should sound like bacon frying!'.... and then my welds just pop off. Yes, I'm going to suck it up and ask for help or I'll be out there for another week trying it over and over again.

3. Case Backhoe dead radiator
Had to ask for help with this one. I have to stand on the frame rails to get to all the bolts on the OEM radiator which has 7 holes in it. Wasn't the skid plate supposed to save me from sticks in the radiator???
Anyway, I have to stand on the frame rail and lean over at my waist, put my sternum on the bracket holding the intercooler and the radiator. Have a box end wrench in one hand (1 1/16th) and a socket/ratchet in the other hand (1 1/16th). Blindly feel around until I get everything set and then realize I will never be able to do this by myself.
Why?
I broke my arm over 20 years ago and the repair left it 1 1/2 inches shorter than the other arm. I either need to grow another 2 inches in my legs or 1 1/2 inches in my left arm, or have someone hold one of the wrenches. Sigh. What a pain.
But, I have a 77 year old rancher friend whose wife lets him come help me and we were able to get everything out before the rain hit. Then a few days later I got the new radiator in. Now I just need him to get back from his Idaho hunting trip so he can help me put the last 4 bolts in.

4. Case Backhoe battery
Kkritsilas -- I feel like I should bake you cookies and send to you. That CTEK battery charger is so suhweeet!
I bought a new battery but set it on the backhoe for month its taken me to get the IH 1086 running. So, of course, I needed to top off / recharge the Case Backhoe battery. That was such a pleasant experience with the new charger.

5. 1976 VW beetle
Showed it off to the mechanic friend of mine that likes working on VW's and he was quite smitten with it. Apparently, being all original even with a bit of rust issues on the flat metal, but having an OEM ac as well as immaculate engine compartment and good floors is not common. Yea home team.

I have actually walked by the 5th avenue and apologized each time.
So there is that.
