I'm just sayin' 3.55s and SGs are not that difficult to find for 8.25s.

If he happens to find a 5th Ave and a tralier pkg Dak.....

most 5th aves came with 7 1/4s also, best place to find a m-body 8 1/4 is a fleet car (taxi/police/ect)

Usually around here (I am close to you) you can find a 68-70 B-Body 8 3/4 for about $250-$300. Now that is gonna be with 3.23 or 2.76 open gears unless you get lucky. This axle will fit right under an F-body just by making the holes in the spring perches bigger. I am assuming your car has the same width rear under it as my Aspen does....

If you want you can buy a pair of spring perches from mopar performance for like $25ish, and after you have the rear under your car and all set up you could keep your eyes open for the third member with the gears you want. Nice thing about the 8 3/4 is you can swap the gears in less than an hour.

On mine I put an 8 3/4 out of a 70 Road Runner under it, bought the perches and the superstock springs with the f-body relocation kit. It was a costly upgrade but well worth it....
