And yes, I did use the dip net to get all the tadpoles out of the rain barrel before I dunked. Just moved them over to the frog pond (bathtub). Which is another story for another day.

The fuel pump may have a low fuel pressure condition. If pump doesn’t pump enough pressure - it won’t start. You need a fuel pressure gauge to test, through.
The other thing is the fuel sender is not reading. I have seen fuel senders work great from full down to 1/4 tank. After that, it is stuck on 1/4 tank (so you have no idea now empty it actually is).
If I was to guess, this may be more likely cause than the fuel pump being low pressure.
May have to record trip meter readings and after a certain mileage on trip meter - fill up (or pack your walking shoes).
IE: if you get 400 miles on a tank full, then when trip meter gets to 300 miles, then fill up (or whatever your mileage per tankful is).
