Hello:

Came across a set of stainless steel window vent visors I would like to install on my 1985 Diplomat 4-door.

They are listed(see picture) for Aspen/Volare 4-door 1976-1980

Diplomat/LeBaron 1977-1979

I was under the believe that the doors on the F and the M (4-doors) interchanged 1976-1989?

Anyone’s though on if these will work on my 1985?

Thanks

They should theoretically fit the front doors. They might not fit the back doors. The Aspen/Volare have different rear glass I think

Yes to that..AMC's response that is. Back doors are different and won't fit. Fronts will.

They will fit four door sedans. They will NOT fit the rear doors of a wagon.

I am not sure my memory is 100% accurate, but the doors skins (rear) and the skins interchange, but the glass and window changed. The top frame was a new stamping. The roof changed when the M roof came out. Kind of. Or when the F roof went away in 81. The Volare roof existed on some M's until the Volare/Aspen died off then that roof was done. The top half of the door got changed to match the C pillar shape. The side slab stayed the same. Also, just so you know the rear bumpers for the F's were the same on wagons. You could use a sedan bumper, just with different mounts.

what number are the ones for 80-89 M's? got a pair of C-6's and i concur, the rear door ones do not fit. if anyone wants the rear door vents for their Aspen, you can have em

looks like in theory they should fit but the opera window is in the way. i've seen pictures of police cars with the whole rear window vent vs the Fifth's partial one. is there a spacer for the opera window's chrome piece?

They're the same, they stop at that window channel.
The older ones like pictured looks like they're also too short. Maybe they could be made to fit by cutting a notch out of it to clear the channel and spread the ends out a bit?
