Hemi 5 Speed auto to LA block?

Hello,

In NZ on the local auction site a low mileage 5 speed hemi auto trans has popped up, can these be bolted up to a LA block? Has anyone ever done it?? What is needed to control them?

Modern Hemi and LA small block have the same bolt pattern, so yes, the bell housing will bolt up but I don't know how the torque converter and all that will work. Yes it's been done. Some guys on the ForABodies forum have done it.

To control it you need one of these:
Compushift Chrysler NAG1 Automatic Transmission Controller - Wholesale Automatic Transmissions

But there are some people out there working on homebrew versions.

Early Hemi-powered 300Cs had those, and even with modest power, they had great performance.
