One of the best things I did was put LED bulbs in the dash. Before that I could barely see the gauges at night. Now I have to dim them, lol.

I know, it made such a huge difference! I have an 82 Monte Carlo that will be getting this treatment

I went blue on mine. My eyes can see better with blue vs green. Also changed all the other illumination bulbs to blue LED, including the console shift indicator. I'll admit green is the more classic look though.
The gauge cluster lights are the only things I haven't converted to LED yet. Interior lighting, brake lights, head lights, etc are all LED.
I changed the cluster lights to my car to red about 20 years ago. Removed the green tinted covers and used red coated incandescent bulbs.

I just FINALLY did the rest of the lighting inside and out. Only the idiot lights are incandescent now. Used these on my 5A and F150.
