Lost title

Hey guys, I'm in need of some advice or suggestion.
I'm trying to buy a car in Oregon that has no title or on DMV record and not stolen. The owner supposedly bought it from someone and lost the title.

My question is, have any of you obtained a title through one these online companies that say they can get a title with no issue?

Husband bought a car, online, and verfied in writing that the current owner had the title.
Car arrived with paperwork. It was from Illinois. We are in Texas.
Title was never changed into the seller's name. Still in the name of the man he bought it from.
Then my husband gifts it to me.
Then my husband dies.
Now I have started the process of getting a bonded title.
Meanwhile, state of Texas has changed the requirements of how/when/ and who inspects cars to validate vin numbers.

I would seriously question the ability of any company to make it 'easy' to get a title with two deaths, two states, and several years delay.

I agree a company could get the title. But how many dollars and how long is the bigger question.

Every state I'm sure has different requirements to obtain a title and I live in Commiefornia where its almost impossible to get a lost title.
I've seen several companies online, advertising they can get a title and was curious if anyone has used such service.

Haven't had to in NY. NY DMV has a process for this that's a huge pain in the butt but is doable.

Pole Barn Garage on YouTube recommends a service he uses in some of his videos and on Facebook. I don't recall the name off hand
