Where can I buy a windshield molding for my 1984 Fifth Avenue?. I've tried all the usual places online and got nowhere.
Thanks in advance.

Roger.

I know a guy in Georgia who's parting out this Diplomat SE. On Instagram he goes by No_Brake_Jake

If that's a no-go I have one other source.

Thanks for the swift reply.
I should add, I need to buy from someone prepared to ship to the UK, which may well cost more than the actual molding, but that's what you get for restoring a car never sold in your country......:(

I now have the molding trims, incredibly less than 5 miles from where I live!. :)
Now I need the clips, I think they are part number 6003753, readily available in North America.
I don't think Rock Auto sell them, does anyone know of a supplier who will ship international?.

Roger.

That is amazing. Windshield trim can't be that popular an item! Sorry, I don't know where to get the clips, but I would like to know as well. Continued good luck.

Do they look like these?

Sorry, I don't know what they should look like, I don't have any of the originals. The windshield has been replaced by the previous owner, but the moldings and clips were missing.
The ones you guys have shown certainly look like the ones I've seen online, are they interchangeable?.
Shipping will probably cost twice as much as the actual parts, :( well, I have to suck that up. But I do want to be sure I have the right parts. If it's wrong I can't drive back to the store to sort it out.
But thanks guys for your quick replies and I appreciate your help. :):):)

I several suppliers on ebay, according to the compatability checks they are fine for my car, or any M Body, it appears the going price is $11 for a pack of 10 (+$14 shipping). How many do I need?

Roger

There are a few lengths to contend with, to long and the moldings will not fit flush.

There shows to be two different clip part numbers that attach the trim, 6003916 and 6003753. The number and location of clips is too be determined by the installer at factory (ie: it varies, at lot). One car could have 10 clips (total) and next car could have 130 clips on it (for windshield).
If I recall correctly, the clips are generally every 8 to 12 inches apart and there will be a small screw hole where old clip was located at. The two-part numbers should be the two pictures (above).

Does the molding and trim from a 77-79 M body fit the later models?
The F and M-body two and four-door windshields (and windshield trim are different).

I believe (not confirmed) all F & M-body 4-door windshield trim is the same – other than having bright (chrome appearance) and dark (blackened) versions.
I’ve not worked on enough 2-door windshield trim to have paid any attention to it.

Just to let you know I have ordered some clips, they are now in the UK, hopefully to be delivered in the next few days.
Thanks again to all who offered advice and help. :)

Roger.

The clips have arrived, but I have no idea how to fit them. I cannot find anything on this site or you tube that helps. Can anyone help please?.
I hope they are the correct clips, it has cost about $70 to get them delivered!.:(
