Member location by state

Would it be possible to have an option to locate members by city and/or state (provinces for Canada)? Or possibly a search by zip code or area code? Would be nice to know how many members are near by.

Realistically that might be quite the endeavor and Joey being a busy guy already it might be a long shot

There are some apps that people can pin their location on a map.
Frapper had one, but it's gone tits up.
Google might have something like it.

There is no fool proof way to do it. I know it sounds cool, but I've seen people try this many times and it always turns out to be incomplete and inaccurate.
